Navidi was forced off with a hamstring complaint in the 20-19 quarter-final win over France at Oita Stadium on Sunday. Ross Moriarty came on as his replacement and is the most likely to earn a berth in the starting XV when they bid for a spot in next month’s final.
Gatland has confirmed that he will be calling up a replacement for Navidi but hinted it will more than likely be an additional back.
