Al-Farouq Aminu scored 19 points for the Portland Trail Blazers who defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-98 in Game 4 Monday reports Completesports.com.
The 26-year-old was his team’s third highest scorer after CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard who scored 27 and 24 points respectively.
He also added nine rebounds in the win. The game was Aminu’s 85th of the NBA season and his 670th appearance in the NBA.
“We don’t focus on doubters, we focus on ourselves,” Aminu said after the game.
“We accept the responsibility of our past two playoff performances and we moved on. I think that’s one of the biggest and one of the best things that we did for ourselves, was not hold onto it. We moved on and we’re having a better run now. We just got to finish it.”
Portland will qualify for the semi-finals of the playoffs on Tuesday at home if they beat Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5.
Elsewhere, the Toronto Raptors are also a win away from the Eastern Conference semi-finals courtesy of their 107-85 triumph against the Orlando Magic.
Toronto – who were stunned in Game 1 – extended their winning streak to three as Kawhi Leonard starred with a game-high 34 points.
