Ndidi Stars, Iheanacho Subbed On In Leicester City Loss To Chelsea

Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was on from start to finish as Leicester City lost 3-0 to Chelsea in Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff game.

Ndidi, who was making his 9th appearance for the Foxes, could not prevent the Blues from bossing the midfield as they dominated play.

Antonio Rudiger opened the scoring in the 14th minute before N’golo Kante extended Chelsea’s tally to 2-0 with a sublime goal in the 28th minute.

Cristian Pulisic took the game beyond Leicester City’s reach when he netted the third goal in the 71st minute to the delight of Blues coach, Thomas Tuchel.

However, Kelechi Iheanacho, who came on as substitute for Ademola Lukmon in the 46th minute had little impact to change the complexion of the game.

The defeat means Leicester City sit 12th on 15 points while Chelsea maintain their grip on the top of the Premier League log.

Ranier Benches Ekong again….N’koulou the Cameroonian is favored ahead of Nigerian. When a coach experienced as Ranieri sees something you have to respect that. The is the second game in a row..

Sorry for the typographical errors…. Completesports removing the edit is just senseless. The likes and the unlikes button that I understand but edit button common man.

It is only a fool that wont see how deficient William Troost Ekong is… dude has no talent in football… he belaboured himself with exhaustive training just to get to this yet mediocre level he is at… any new Nigeria’s coach who knows his onions will
discard Ekong from day 1 with speed… I dont hate him mind you, he is just not the deal…

Ekong benched by a guy that was last invited to the Cameroonian set up in 2017 and hasn’t been considered for their national team in 4 years. Honestly I think Ekong’s place is on the bench in the National team….. I went back to watch our match against Croatia and you will think this guy would have developed from playing in the Olympics and Worldcup but nah….. the Siera Leone game in which they came back to draw 4-4 was another game full of blunders btw him and Balogun. It’s time to.reshuffle the CB weather Rohr stays or there’s a new coach. That defence needs change. Teams are starting to figure us out.

The same Nkoulou couldn’t cope with the pace of a 36 year old Ronaldo. Ekong was called upon at the time of need and helped Watford slow down Ronaldo. You can never that kind of a player anyway, you can only limit his opportunities. And I think that is exactly what Ekong did when he came on. On a very positive note Emmanuel Dennis should be walking straight into SuperEagles first 11. He singlehandedly destroy ManU today. There’s no denying the fact that’s he’s currently Nigeria’s best player in Europe, and head above every player in modest Watford. If he continues like this he won’t be in Watford for long.

**You can never stop that kind of player**

Say that again my guy @Ayphillydegreat, Dennis is a monster and a big game player, 2 assists and a great goal against Man U no be moin moin.

I only wish he can do well about his attitude, be more humble so he can attain the greatness destined for him

Thank God Rohr is on his way out, now we can have Dennis ahead of Musa, Awoniyi, Dessers ahead of Onuachu, Ighalo, Bassey ahead of Collins, etc.

Yeah you lots can open your mouths now and talk about Dennis walking into the national team….. What happened to you support of Musa who is one of the player blocking this young man’s invitation. The problem with you folks sometimes is that y’all think you love the super eagles more than others and that means others that mean well are evil. Thank God thread’s are saved here say anything and I’ll pull up ur past support for Musa.

Everyone know that Dennis struggled last season. When he was doing well in Belgium for Club Brugge he was invited to the SuperEagles. By the way Musa is not the only one he’s better than at the moment. And this is his first season in the best league in the world. So there’s need to allow him settle. Therefore, now that he’s got about half a season in the EPL with scintillating performances no coach can ignore him now be it GR or anyone else. There’s no denying the fact that he’s having a great season. I can only he stay consistent.

  • Dennis we already know you have abs, why pull off your shirt and get unnecessary yellow card now? I saw Ranieri talking to you after the game, you recently clear your card accumulation and got yourself another unnecessary card when your goal is not even the winning goal that came in last minute, we understand the joy scoring against mighty Manchester United, but pulling your shirt is not necessary. Keep it up though, great match.

    DENNIS THE MENACE.
Dennis did not do Ole Gunnar any favours today.
He was rampant, an absolute nuisance, a source of constant irritation to the Man United defense.
He plays his football with rage. Controlled aggression.
Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw and Wan-Bissaka will need some serious physiotherapy after this game. Dennis did not give them a moment’s rest. The way he hungrily took the ball from his own team mate before he scored reminded me of what we’re currently missing in the SE.
Hunger. Desire. Fire in the belly. Only Osimhen brings these qualities to battle nowadays, and that is not enough.
Where did Dennis find the energy to be so aggressive and purposeful in the 96th minute of such a tough match? The energy to jump into the box, seize the ball from his team mate Joao Pedro, and then go on to smash it past De Gea?
A goal and 2 assists makes him the MOM, in my opinion.
Dennis could be better. Still needs to improve in his decision making and finishing. But his mentality is golden. A can-do attitude, with determination and never-say-die spirit.
Hopefully, we get to see this warrior do his thing in a SE jersey soon.
Union Troost Ekong. Some say he’s no good. Yet, the “useless” Ekong held his own today against CR7 after he was subbed in. There is no bigger test for a center back than to play against the likes of CR7, and Union Troost did well.
Some people will come here and be talking trash, berating a player because he had a bad day. Ekong may have been subpar for the SE in recent games. That does not mean he is not good, or doesn’t deserve to be where he is. In life, you don’t succeed by accident. You don’t achieve what Ekong has achieved only by good fortune.
He may not be Okechukwu Uche, but he is a damn decent center-back. We need him in the SE, either as a starter, or on the bench.

Osimhen will be happy to have Dennis fighting alongside him in the SE.
WE NEED WARRIORS IN THE SE.
    LIONS, NOT HOUSE CATS.
