Ndidi Subbed On, Iheanacho Benched In Leicester’s Win At West Ham; Iwobi Lose Again With Everton

Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi was in action while Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute for Leicester who beat West Ham 2-0 away in Saturday’s Premier League game, Completesports.com reports.

Ndidi was introduced 10 minutes into the second half for Belgian star Youri Tielemans.

Leicester took the lead on eight minutes as James Maddison hammered a left-footed shot into the roof of the net.

The Foxes double their lead on 78 minutes as Harvey Barnes ran through on the counter and slotted calmly past Lukasz Fabianski.

It is a third consecutive win for Leicester since losing to Manchester City last month.

At the Vitality, it was a day to forget for Everton who were thrashed 3-0 by Bournemouth with Alex Iwobi playing for 90 minutes.

The Toffees have now suffered a third straight defeat.

In the 18th minute Bournemouth opened scoring thanks to Marcus Tavernier who tapped into an empty net after Dominic Solanke’s shot was not dealt with.

Kieffer Moore doubled the hosts’ advantage on 25 minutes, powerfully heading in from close range.

And on 69 minutes Jaidon Anthony added the third, finding himself in space and heading past Jordan Pickford.

In another Premier League fixture, Taiwo Awoniyi was benched, Emmanuel Dennis was not in the squad as Nottingham Forest pipped Crystal Palace 1-0.

Morgan Gibbs-White fired home the only goal on 54 minutes to break the deadlock.

At Anfield, Joe Aribo came on in the 82nd minute but could not help Southampton avoid a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.

And Tottenham Hotspur bounced back from their Carabao elimination to Forest in midweek and beat Leeds United 4-3.

Leeds led three times in the game but could not hold as Spurs fought back to secure the win.
