Meanwhile, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will miss 2021 AFCON in Cameroun following his request to be excused from the biennial championship on the grounds of health reasons

“Osimhen is out of AFCON. The coach has released him as a result of his club Napoli’s request and he (Osimhen) plea to opt out due to his health condition. We shall miss him, but his health is more important,” a Super Eagles source revealed.

  • We going to miss you VO, but why not dresser? That will kinda be like for like, dresser above moffi for me anytime anyday.

  • Omo9ja 2 years ago

I wish you a quick recovery Osimhen.

On the other hand, why NFF and the coaches doing like this. Dessers is ahead of all the strikers in the camp presently. Dessers is more experienced in that category compared to Amoo and Moffi.

Please allow Dessers to help Nigeria most especially against Egypt NFF/ Eguavoen. Those in charge of the team should know better now. Fingers crossed. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • Iksproject 2 years ago

Desser is not ahead of Denis and Awoniyi.

      • Edoman 2 years ago

Forget Desser. AFCON without Amoo is a doom journey for Nigeria. Playing in second division in Spain is possible only because of bribery.

      • Glory 2 years ago

Claudio Ranieri is a full for not releasing Emmanuel Dennis. What did he think they are? Africa should know that the Europeans knows how to racially abused Africa. To hell with him.

  • What a miss, I think he made the best decision, come back stronger Victor. Over to Desser now, except they want to frustrate this guy out of eagles, the guy to me remain the most technical striker, let’s give this guy the space or what else does he need to prove again nah, while we were begging Tammy Abraham and co this top quality guy doesn’t give us all of those headache.

  • Cyriel Dessers deserves a callup to the Super Eagles to replace Victor Osimhen who has asked for time off to take care of his health. However, I have also read that Henry Onyekuru has already been invited as a replacement for Victor Osimhen. In truth, both Henry Onyekuru and Terem Moffi have not been playing too well at the moment with very few assists and goals this season in their respective clubs in Greece and France. I personally would have preferred Akin Amoo or Cyriel Dessers as replacements as they are both currently on a hot streak of form.

Eguavoen, this should be between Amoo or Dressers not moffi and Amoo, why are we trying so hard to loose Dessers. Eguavoen i know you guys hate the word meritocracy, let’s please apply it sometimes.

After braggging and posturing, Osimhen and the NFF have now realized ratger late that only healthy players should be at AFCON

I am in support of the young boy tagged like Messi ( Akin Amooo) that guy is another version of D Bull Amokachi, but also with dribbling skills of Messi ; he is in the same age bracket with Amockachi when Westerhof audaciously unleashed him in the then star studded SE. He is far ahead Moffi and cannot be compared to Igahalo or Musa; although there is excuse for Musa to be in the team as Capt , but Igahalo that is playing Sunday-Sunday football in Holly Land of Saudi has no business in SE after deservingly retired when the Oviation was loudest for him

Retired Igahalo that was total flopped in the last game , with zero goal , zero contribution, Zero assist before he was rightly yanked off the game , should be dropped also and in his place Dessers should be invited.

Why was CSN so economical with the truth here. The poor boy tested positive for covid-19 on his return to Italy from Lagos. Get well quick Osimgoal

I believe Amo should take the place of victor we have enough strikers and striker cum wingers who can also score goals what we need are good midfielders that’s where the job is . With players like Ighalo iheanacho , umar, musa,Awoniyi,Ejuke, Chuk,Simon,Iwobi, Denis even Aribi can score as he did against almighty Brazil. Now we need good ball jogger and passer so Amoo will help the team

  • DeSTAR 2 years ago

@Respect is Reciprocal ; well said ; the power pace , and dribbling skills along with thunderous bullets in Akin Amoo boots is what SE needs now ; that guy dubbed Little Messi is the much awaited N0.10 midfielder gem , we have been waiting for ; had the ambitious coach like Westerhof were to be SE coach , he must have utilized Akin Amoo just as he did with the then 18years old Amokachi .

Dropping the likes of Akin Amoo in preference to the retired Igahalo by Eguafon is part of the reasons no one pity him with the plan of the rogue in NFF ( Amaju Fraud-Pinnick)to bring another average coach even before Afcon

  • Pius Obemhen 2 years ago

This coach on credit matter is not going away anytime soon. Las las Nigeria will look inwards to engage indigenous coach. For real, coach Eguavoen is winning Afcon gold. In players preference, I would tick Amoo over the rest, the reason been he is a midfield maestro.

  • Gabriel 2 years ago

    Dessert is good.
For strong footing and enduring legacy, Amaju Pinnick should have kept faith with a local coach. Anyways, there will always be that time allowance for noise to run the mill. In short though in the negative, it is human for some to make noise. Peseiro will come to Abuja day after tomorrow we are told. It is good.

  • Golden Child 2 years ago

The circus that is NFF probably just realized that they would have to replace osimhen with a player in the 40 man list.why they were considering onyekuru i will never know. Amoo or dessers.

  • Naija 2 years ago

NFF, if you are reading this you better bring in Akinkunmi Amoo as a midfielder and NOT as a sticker. The kid is the best midfielder we have at the moment. He’s rugged, and can pass the wall well and I don’t know anyone in the current squad who can best his dribbling skills.

  • Patrator 2 years ago

Bring in Amoo. He can score goals, he has creativity. He’s a playmaker I can go on and on. Bring in Akinkunmi Amoo

Just in; Emmanuel Dennis, Leon Balogun and Shehu Abdullahi have asked to be excused from AFCON.

  • Chima E Samuels 2 years ago

NFF will pick whoever pays for slot or highest bidder. Let the game begin thieves.

  • Chima E Samuels 2 years ago

A good and inform player will not be selected because they’ll not pay this shit bribe as usual. NFF is a bunch of crooks like play like play Yakubu will be recalled. If it was England we all know an inform player in the frame of Dessers will be called to make up for the earlier error just as Netherlands called Inform Danjuma after leaving him out by error or whatever. But Naija willl be looking for highest bidder. Pinnick you will go out soon mark my words only God and a win at Afcon can spare you. Minister Dare is watching you closely!!!

What is wrong with our coaches, for heaven’s sake? Can’t they just see that this guy Amoo is all they need in the midfield. He is like the honey that attracts the bees any time he is with the ball or off the ball there by creating space to the detriment of the opponents. He can drift to the sides, strong with the ball, technical when needed and great passing range. He only needs to be further instructed and polished a little more by a very good coach…why are you wasting time inviting him….if not bring in Dessers for Osimhen and stop beating round the bush!!!! just hit the nail on it’s head but hard.

Except there are some special reason mitigating against these two being in the camp. I don’t see what’s stopping you from bringing either of them now…Abi dem do Una?

    • Chima E Samuels 2 years ago

@Sugar Daddy Our leaders are good at making us scream in the end they’ll still make evil choices not even bad one. See the coach they later settled for, and then we also hear he will not entertain agents. Who ask them I don’t know but a smart person will know the answer because they’ll do alot of rigging of course.

  • Sugar Daddy 2 years ago

Why Onyekuru for heaven’s sake???? I hope this is not true…why are we like this…e be like say dem really do Una!!!!
Hennnn henn!!! Na wa oh…no be JuJu be dis? You have Amoo and Dessers in excellent form of their lives but you dey go pick almost a cricket player… with due respect to Onyekuru, I think Onyekuru himself know say who dey invite him for now dey crazy!!!!

  • 1. Something is definitely wrong. It’s a general Nigerian problem.

    2. If we are short in middle, then amoo and not even dessers should come in.

    3. Ighalo is the one that has taken dessers place.

    4. On oshimen. I think he needs help. First, he must learn to play with care. He should use more brain than strength. He should go and learn from CR7. Secondly, I hope on his visit to Nigeria, he observed safety protocols. This happened last season when he had COVID-19. Thirdly, he needs to be more disciplined too. I read a Twitter commne from him abusing a Twitter user who asked him if he had COVID-19. He replied: Your grandfather … Fourthly, it was wrong to declare Himself ready for afcon without his club. European clubs will mark him. He should remember that he is African. They will begin to do everything to frustrate him. He needs fatherly advice from the likes of okocha, kanu etc to save his football career..

    5. If onyekuru or moffi is invited to replace oshimen, then we should just forget any good thing at this afcon. We are bunch of unserious people.

    6. I heard Dennis is not coming to afcon. I hope this is not true.

Finally, I believe one day pinnink’s on Nigerian football will come to an end.
