    Nice lineup

  • Michael Temidayo Adelami 5 months ago

Why on earth will you drop our best centre back (BASSEY)?

    • Olutosin Peter Akintunde 5 months ago

bassey is not a centre back but right full back

      • Footballfanatic 5 months ago

        Wow right fullback???

      • Bassey is a central defender. Although he can play left back, central defence is what he has been playing for country and club for months now.

The coach has made a big mistake. He would have paid Ekong with Bassey. Ajayi is very deficient. I pray they don’t expose him

        • Chima E Samuels 5 months ago

Mma Bassey is a left back and just learning his trade as a CB that is why he is inconsistent at CB.

  • chuks haifa 5 months ago

The coach is behaving better and now listening. I wonder what made him to start acting wise.Good line up

  • What time is the match and any link to see it?

  • Up green white green of Nigeria

Good balanced lineup, but the defense still look somehow shaky. I would have preferred Omeruo or Awaziem to Ekong.

    • Bestsport 5 months ago

Perfect line up that the honest truth. Ekong as the experience in defence, onyeka replaced ndidi good choice, alhasan will be 8 that’s running to attack and defence tirelessly, let them play with 100 percent dedication and be prepared for strong tackling, no time for too many ajebutter line because this is Africa kicking football. Onyekachi will deputise onyeka and aribo will deputise alhassan, omerue will deputise ekong while bassey will substitute his fellow ajebutter ajayi, uzoho should wear a good seat belt on substitute bench to deputise nkwakali, all other players should be ready to step up the plate when called upon only in their best position of play as a substitute. For now this is a perfect line up. Attack together and defend together as a team looking to cover each other and be prepared for pain and blood sweat on the pitch. Do that and we will be lifting this cup, my only fear is this peseiro and our too many nff delegated officials causing distraction. Good luck.

Michel, is also good to have good defender on the bench, ekong is good and expirence

  • Very Good lineup..Hope they get lucky.. The best lineup I ever see from me Peseiro

  • Any link please guys?

  • Glory 5 months ago

Hahaha…. Haha. Good line up. Walahi talahi. SE I stand by you all. God bless all deserving SE players. God bless Alexander the king IWOBI. God bless Peseiro and crew. A aaaaaaawwuuuuuraaaa. Victory is certain to Glory of Lord JESUS CHRIST. AMEN

The line-up is fine. Play the players to their natural position. Bassy is not a natural defender, so it’s very risky to play him in the central defence. Now, the coach has behaved well. Nigeria would win this game.

  • Nice starting lineup, let’s go and get the job done boy’s

  • pompei 5 months ago

    Not a bad line up.

  • That midfield trio give me hope. Let’s go guys.

  • Chima E Samuels 5 months ago

Nwabali??? Semi Ajayi and Ekong Combo???? Frank Onyeka??? Omg if this line up succeeds against Guinea and we repeat it against CIV then we will have ourselves to blame. This two defensive Combo has no pace and Ekong is prone to error. Onyeka has not done anything in Nigeria jersey. We might win today but if this man try this nonsense against serious team then we’ll have ourselves to blame. The only positive introduction in this line up is Alhassan. My prediction is 2-1 in Favor of SE!!!

  • Larry 5 months ago

Based on the available players, I support Peseiro on thus line-up though I prefer a consistent EPL defender Bassey or a confident and more technical Omeruo to a shaky and ineffective Ekong.
The coach got 10 out of 11 of his selection right. Starting Nwabili ahead of Uzohobasket and playing Simon, Lookman, Iwobi to complement Osi 9 is brilliant!

  • Golden Child 5 months ago

Wow! Peseiro pulled the rug from under my feet, I did not see that coming. All the best SE! Interesting line up.

  • Maduka Ernest-Ngozichukwu 5 months ago

I would have preferred an AJAYI & BASSEY combo in central defense. AJAYI is comfortable on the ball as a defender that is why he is sometimes played in defensive midfield role and for whatever misgivings you have against BASSEY his speed, recovery and general work ethic is needed in that defense. However I am not there in training and don’t know why the coach thinks otherwise. Though one thing I’ll say for Ekong is that whatever he lacks in pace, he makes up as an on field leader which is inestimable! SE is yearning for a leader who brings ginger! Osihmen can do it from the front but we need a Marshall at the back! Also, we need someone with grit who can take our PKs when we win one and Ekong can be that man.

  • Footballfanatic 5 months ago

Please where can we watch…Pls share

  • THIS MAN NA THE WORST COACH NIGERIA EVER HAD

WHY MUST YOU DROP BASSEY ???

RAFAEL ONYEDIKA SHOULD HAVE BE IN THE MIDFIELD WITH ONYEKA

THIS COACH WILL COST NIGERIA PAINS
    USELESS COACH

YOU WILL REGRET THIS LINE UP

SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN IN NIGERIA YOU NEVER HAVE FIRST 11 LINE UP MUMU COACH

  • Chima E Samuels 5 months ago

The coach is not good you people are always excited like this before previous matches only to get reality check 15mins after. The line up is average even though I have been positive for a while. I can not come and lie because win or loose nothing go enter my pocket aside emotional gain or loss. Simon Moses does better from bench I don’t and Ekong is not reliable. Like I said we will win because of the opposition we are playing but against a top team these aforementioned players no go see light.

  • THEY PAID THIS COACH TO DESTROY NIGERIA FOOTBALL

    WHY HASSAN IN THE MIDFIELD

WHY SANISU INSTEAD OF BRUNO OH MY GOD VERY NONSENSE COACH

  • What bassey wey show arsenal shege for premiership few weeks ago na hin this peseiro go bench for Ajayi and ekong sha.

    • Swizborn 5 months ago

Let’s have some quality in the bench. The weather is harsh. We can’t wait for the team to return home so that the stupid coach can leave. He knows nothing about our football and not ready to learn and improve

  • Ikeben 5 months ago

I wondered why coach dropped Bassey, then later I understood with him. This match is a hot afternoon match and Bassey may not be used to such harsh condition. In his first game against Ghana in the last World cup qualifier he said he could not breathe, so he may likely struggle under the hot sun. But Ajayi and Ekong has better experience in African matches.

  • It should be Ekong and Calvin Bassey in central defence. Ekong apart from being massively experienced, is enjoying regular playing time in his club. Bassey is not very experienced but is playing regularly in his club, and has amongst others, speed etc. in his favour.
Having Ajayi there is a big mistake by the coach. Ajayi is very deficient. I hope he is not exposed

  • FatherJP 5 months ago

I have my reservations.with Onyeka ahead of Onyedika in DM or Aribo in CM. Why Alhassan ahead of Onyedika in DM or Aribo in CM?

Bassey may struggle under the weather like we saw in ABUJA. He needs more African matches like Ekong.Otherwise, I will prefer him to Ekong. Others are 100% okay imho
