Does anyone have the team line up??
Complete sports does not seem to think providing the team line up is important.
    Which way Nigeria????

  • God'sown 3 years ago

    That pitch looks poor

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Pitch is a damn shame man

  • Charles 3 years ago

OMG SEE PITCH, NIGERIAN GOVERNMENTS AND NFA NO DEY SHAME AT ALL. ALL THEY CAN DO IS LOOT MONEY BUT THEY CANT EVEN DEVELOP ANYTHING, WE REALLY HAVE BIG BIG PROBLEM IN THIS COUNTRY AND ALL THIS OLD FOOLS HAVE TO BE KILLED BEFORE ANYTHING CAN BE NORMAL,CANT BLAME THEM BECAUSE NON OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS LIVES IN NIGERIA, NIGERIANS NEED TO WAKE UP SO ALL THIS RUBBISH CAN STOP. IF WE LOST AM SURE THE PITCH WILL BE THE MAIN COURSE. HOW DO THEY ESPECT GUYS PLAYING IN EUROPE TO PERFORM WELL IN THIS KIND OF JAGAJA PITCH, THEY REALLY DONT WANT US TO BE HAPPY AT ALL I SWEAR SINCE THEY CANT EVEN FIX OUR FOOTBALL PITCH THAT MAKES THE CITIZENS HAPPY A LITTLE BIT…..

  • Very poor pitch

    • Diran 3 years ago

This is very shameful. The state of the pitch is nothing to write home about. The pitch in Uyo is the best soccer-playing surface in Nigeria and the next manageable one is the pitch at Abuja. NFA please take all subsequent home matches of the Eagles to Uyo. this is shameful.

  • See soggy pitch. The rain wey dey pour intermittently for Lagos since morning don spoil stadium. Uyo remains the best, followed distantly by Abuja.

  • One can’t enjoy watching match in his own backyard. Big shame. Iheanacho just score

    • Like seriously which way Nigeria my dear country, have enjoy all the qualifier both Europe and South America from ESPN+, now to watch my dear country is when I’m experiencing network issue. Good save our land.

  • pompei 3 years ago

This is by far the worst pitch I’ve seen so far in world cup qualifiers WORLD WIDE.
NFF ONIGBESE have done it again.
How can the boys play their best on this rubbish?

  • Iheanacho score and we didn’t see the goal cos unsurprisingly the technicians of the unbelievably inept and moribund NTA who’re broadcasting the match ran into technical hitches. Normal things. Even FIFA on YouTube couldn’t pick up the goal as they were all depending on NTA (clearly, they were not properly informed/advised). I don’t know why the antiquity from 1960 called NTA is still existing in 2021. In fact, the only candidate I’ll vote for in 2023 is any that promise to finally sell off NTA.

  • Coachie 3 years ago

It is so obvious these guys are struggling to play football on this pitch. Why is it so difficult for us to do things right when we are in Nigeria but we do it so well outside Nigeria. The goal sef we know see, chai na wa ooo

  • Honestly 3 years ago

Is that a football pitch or a potato farm? This is actually embarrassing

  • pompei 3 years ago

So far, disjointed, uncoordinated performance from Nigeria. 100% blame ON THE PITCH.

    • Coachie 3 years ago

      Bros,
If you have been used to a lushed surface week in week out, i bet you will struggle on this farm yard. That’s why you see they are avoiding the short passes on the ground that could go stray due to the condition of the surface and have instead opted to go long.

      • pompei 3 years ago

It’s a shame that we keep on complaining about the same thing year in, year out, but our complaints fall on deaf ears. In 2021 we can’t provide our players with a decent pitch to play on. The world is watching Nigeria fail to provide it’s national team with the barest minimum basics.
        It’s embarrassing. Shameful. Irritating.

        • which world is watching??. . . lol
You think the world care about Nigeria, when they have their various problems to deal with?
Lets stop deceiving ourselves, Nigeria is not ready to change, so lets remain backward the way we are, i guess it suits us that way.

        • And one @omo9ja will still come and impose Lagos stadium on us, my secondary school pitch is far better than this rubbish.

  • pompei 3 years ago

    Nice goal by Nacho.
The biggest opponent our boys have to defeat is NFF ONIGBESE. Not our opponents.
Even a secondary school team will complain about this pitch.
What our boys are playing now is maybe 10% of what they are really capable of. Thanks to this eye sore of a pitch.

  • Maduka 3 years ago

When will ever get anything right in Nigeria? Everything is done out of political sentiment! The Coach actually stated his preference for Uyo Stadium because of better quality pitch and easier accessibility from the hotel. But what did NFF do? They moved it with their veto to Lagos for political correctness forgetting that its our World Cup ticket that is at stake and the joy of Nation whose leaders derive joy from their sadness! Shame!!!!

    • Adeniyi 3 years ago

Which one is political correctness again? You people are the same people who called on the NFF to bring SE matches to Lagos ? You people claimed South West hasn’t hosted the SE in over 10 years so what’s the fuss again? To be honest, i am even impressed with the pitch despite the incessant rains! I expected worse!

But so far so good, players ain’t falling, and ball flow hasn’t been that disrupted.

No matter how we shout, these people don’t care.

      • Maduks 3 years ago

Who is you people??? The Coaches view point should be respected period!

  • Patrick 3 years ago

Even with fifa appointments and strategic positions our incompetent football administrators are occupying in caf they appears not to appreciate the importance of developing our stadiums and football pitches. Mr picnic ( picnic to Watford) you have to sit up. Our problem is that we have a bunch of incompetent and greedy football administrators.

    • Charles 3 years ago

2021 we can’t watch better football, TV coverage bad, Stadium worst and we are still using old school bill boards to advertise, can’t we afford to get digital one, which kind country be this self. Can their own children play in that kind of pitch, this is total wickedness from our leaders. Shame

  • The boys are doing their own 2:0 up Iheanacho at d double. Same on Lagos state government for that useless despite all the noise that they have renovated the edifice to international standard. Isn’t this a same that Lagos of all state is giving us such a bad pitch. Later some idiot called fans will be blaming the coach for not killing himself to win match. Isn’t it a same that the whole of Nigeria didn’t have one standard pitch that can be compare to others in advance country.lubbish

  • pompei 3 years ago

Ogbe stadium is like Old Trafford compared to this awful mess.
The boys are really trying to give the fans something to cheer. But the pitch is making it so difficult.

  • God'sown 3 years ago

Some people said this team does not have playing pattern.

  • Coachie 3 years ago

Signal lost again. Who do us like this nah???

    Here you go facebook live

The best place to watch. If you are abroad.

  • Rohr complained about this pitch but I was almost blaming him. I am sorry rohr. This pitch is awful.

  • Amaju Pinnick is a deceiver, He insists on this pitch. However I am starting to feel that it is also down to the individual State Governors regarding availability of Stadia, I believe some of them are demanding to much from NFF in order to make use of their facilities, No be Naija we dey?.. otherwise I cannot understand why we haven’t gone back to Uyo. it is clearly the best pitch we have at present

  • pompei 3 years ago

SUPER EAGLES 2 NFF ONIGBESE AND THEIR RUBBISH PITCH 0.

  • Tope Adeola 3 years ago

It has been raining in Lagos since morning so that may account for the reasoning the pitch looks horrible.

  • Instead of blaming Amaju Pinnick for allowing Super Eagles to play in Lagos State, why don’t you blame the Lagos State government for even considering to host this match. After all it’s Teslim Balogun, which is state owned. Let’s stop blaming Amaju Pinnick here or there. The guy has tried. If the Lagos State government was serious about hosting matches, then put your money were your mouth is.

    • Chris 3 years ago

@Ben, what type of card are you playing out here? So NFF as a body should be left out of this national mess when it was clear that this particular match was lobbied for and the winner of the lobby is seen as the host with the best pitch come rain come sun.

Please take back your card off this table.

  • glory 3 years ago

We fans should try to see through. All these negatives are the handiwork of saboteurs; selfish, greedy, evil so called nigerians, that have become failures in life and failures in their attempt to frustrates our national teams, since no more business for them in forcing players into national team. Even on that pitch, the boys played well and these negatives will only toughing the team toward better performances going forward. NFF, may have let us down many a time, but have tried, coming through the pandemic financial squeeze, though they can do better . The rain ummmh the rain, it failed. lolzzzz. Congrats to our darling SE, COngrats to Rohr and the crew, congrats to my man of the match OLA AINA, always impressing me when on national duty, congrats goes to all the players; you guys have done very well. Proud of you lots. THIS TEAM I AM SEEING IS GOING TO CONQUER AFRICA COME NEXT YEAR, ANYONE CAN COME PUT A BET WITH ME ON THAT. THIS TEAM IS ONLY GIVING A TINY FRACTION OF ITS RESERVOIR, WAITING TO UNLEASH WHEN THE REAL DANCE BEGINNING.

  • @Chris, you have just confirmed my statement. Did NFF lobby Lagos State government or the Lagos State government lobbied NFF to host the match. I will say its Lagos State government and as NFF is looking for how to settle its debt with the players and coaching crew, they will collect the necessary funds they need to pay. IN the end, it’s the Lagos State government’s fault that their pitch is bad. When you are looking for money to pay debt, you will even climb mount Everest. The sad thing about it, is the players have to pay the price for the ineptitude of the Lagos State government and the people who lobbied NFF for the match to be played.

  • pompei 3 years ago

Ben, if a chef cooks food that is unacceptable, can we blame the cooking pot or the kitchen utensils? Or should we shift the blame on the market where the ingredients were purchased?
Yes, the Lagos State govt let us down. Yes, it rained. You can come up with a hundred other reasons. But the bottom line is that the final responsibility rests with the NFF. And they failed.

  • xhuxhu 3 years ago

Shame on whoever organized and allowed this game to be played in that pitch and May the Lord shutdown NTA for the good of Nigerians.

  • Omo9ja 3 years ago

Well, all I can say is to congratulate our darling Super Eagles. At least 3 points already in our pocket.

Moreover, NFF should be ashamed of themselves once again. Nigeria is a giant of Africa for nothing. No disrespect to Nigerians.

When we are talking about bad things such as the most worst pitch all over the world, we can count on NFF. We saw the Nigerian stadium, Teslim Balogun in Surulere today and the name Nigeria must be on the list.

When they are talking about corruption, Nigeria is second to none.

Insecurity, yowah, Nigeria is the king of king at this.

I am watching MTN vs Zambia now and I’m impressed with the standard of that stadium, we don’t have that kind of pitch in Nigeria.

I saw Cameroon and Ghana matches today as well, the stadiums looked fantastic but Nigeria? Let leave that aside for now.

However, there is room for excuses at least, we can tell liars about today’s match no wahala. All we can say now is the pitch is nothing but garbage abi?

I can understand that my people. There is nothing our players can do on that bad field, Super Eagles would have scored at least 6 goals according to some people no wahala.

The bad pitch making our foreign based players playing like that and late sub.

No pattern or style of play in today’s match and no matter how bad the pitch was,
We all played streets football or on the sand pitch with free flow of entertaining games ba? You remember those days my people?

I will talk less today because of that Pitch. No matter what I say here today does not really matter because of the pitch.

The match against Cape Verde will show how strong our team is and what the coaches have learned so far but what I saw in that match wasn’t encouraging but I am happy that we got 3 points in that match.

Lastly, Uzoho should be in goal against Cape Verde if we have to win that match.

Oga Rohr have to make his subs around 50 to 60 minutes. I think we can see now that the gaffer needed help?

No excuses against Cape Verde. Nobody should say just because 8 players out of our regular players are not playing that game that is why Eagles are not impressive.

The gaffer took his time to select the best squad for Cape Verde match and we are expecting to see good football from Super Eagles on that day.

Once again, congratulations to Oga Rohr and his troops. Let’s go Super Eagles. God bless Nigeria!!!
