It looks like Osayi Samuel will play in a three man midfield of IWOBI,ONYEKA,SAMUEL.
So super eagles will play a 4.3.3 formation culled from flashscores

What’s Bruno doing in this tournament, you know the guy is not good enough why do u guys selected him for the big dance. Again sentiments and tribalism, I hope this singular  decision will not cost us the game today. Aina is right winger he flourishes more as right winger likewise Osayi. South Africa is not a team to toy with

Listen that Iwobi is a disaster waiting to happen – he never puts in a tackle, it’s always a free pass through him, they can walk past him anytime – Paseiro should have seen this already – It’s a risk which I don’t think is worth it!! I would drag him off already and bring Yusuf on!

Our boys are not dealing at all well with South Africa’s tactic of simply lobbing a long ball up field and we don’t seem to be dealing with that at all? Very strange..

Iwobi and Osayi have been more of a liability to Nigeria than any good. It is even better to continue using Zaid than using Osayi who is more of a risk to Nigeria. As for Iwobi the coach should please remove him. He is very lazy and not ready to put in the hard work

This is the game where the likes of iheancho and chukueze needs to show up..

Pesiro should let go of all grudge andd play these players in the second half..

We are missing zaidu, a natural left back is missing in the left wing and the coach seems not to trust Bruno.. osayi Samuel is not doing much in the right back and that’s where aino would have done better..

This south Africa looks dangerous and we have to be at our best to win them

Midfield is non existent. Peseiro should switch gears to match these south africans of lobbing the ball behind our defenders. We have made some world class defenses though.

Our coach is predictable and opponents have studied our game that has made them to come out with a formation to render our players upfront helpless. Osimein is not fit bring in Moffi or Nacho, remove Iwobi to bring in Yussuf and ket lookman play the creative role.Osayi is nervous .Our backline should not play offside trap but mark them.one on one

Our midfield is dead… what some of us always shout about Iwobi will come into the open today. He should not even be a starter not to talk of anchoring our creativity and forward play. We are supposed to be asserting ourselves on the South Africans but we are unfortunately doing the opposite.

Peseiro… deadpan head bring in players who can be goal threat to South Africa with midfield stability… Ola Aina is wasting on the left… on the right his combination with Moses then becomes lethal… why did Peseiro bring Bruno if he won’t use him. He can bring in Umeruo for Calvin and shift … and take out Osayi with Calvin moving to the Leftwingback position. We are letting South Africa drive this game according to their plan.

While I do agree with you, Omeruo doesn’t have the pace to deal with the pacy South Africans. Mind you, Ekong is great but also slow. Basically, move Aina back to the right and replace Osayi with either Zaidu or Bruno. If Zaidu is injured, Bruno please. Iwobi should come out and be replaced by Alhassan. Osimhen is not fit and can also be replaced by Terem in the second half. We need a spark at the middle.

I belief your midfield is creating and we’ll anchor now iwobi is off. Iwobi is not putting leg but the man whom you said can put leg is the cause of the penalty now. When we say some of you didn’t know anything about football. Has anything change in our midfield now?

    18. josh on February 7, 2024 6:58 pm

They already know that Osayi is a weak link so they are plying long balls through his wing and he has not been able to deal with the long balls. Iwobi has committed all the errors in the midfield and he is not even tracking back or even marking. Nigeria’so midfield is porous because of Iwobi

Iwunze- Nah man, I disagree with that are you watching the same match? I don’t think Osayi , Simon or Osimhen have been bad at all but Iwobi really needs to be taken off and Yusuf brought on in his place

Our defence also need to be more aggressive with every loose ball! They have to e strong coz the South Africans are forcing them back with long balls and allowing runs in behind – our defense needs to be more aggressive and we need to progressive the ball more positively and Iwobi really has to come off

Aina should go back to his natural right back.Samuel should be substituted. We miss Sanusi. Those of you singling him out for blame can see how important he’s to the team.
So far we are lucky to not have conceded. We don’t look like a team deserving to play in the final.
The coach has to do something now to get us going otherwise we will get beat.

The SA are finding space in our backline with their long balls. Our frontline have not been able to coordinate properly in the match. If we have to win this match we need to unsettle SA defence with quick passes. This match must not go into extra time

I no know wettin dey worry Peseiro. Normally him suppose match between Naija and SA in 2019 Afcon. To observe wettin Chukwueze perform there and Moses Simon should have been used as Super Sub Osimhen is not 100% so him suppose start am from bench and use him to ginger the second half like from 68 mins.. na Iheanacho or Moffi who suppose start although for me I prefer Iheanacho. I am sure you can see Onuachu cannot perform anything against these

I don’t know what is wrong with some people. Iwobi is there problem now. Thank God Sanusi is not there today and there world class replacement is doing wonder. I can see some people ruing Sanusi absent now that is the same way they will do if Iwobi is not there. They don’t know anything than to be waining and be accusing players unnecessarily. The whole team is not playing well tactically the South Africa are taking upper hand. It seems they have studied the Nigerian team well and have found the antedote to nullify their treat.
That is the effect of good coach. Do I need tell somebody that their coach said they will be ready for Nigeria.

And who is to say Uzoho would not have saved the penalty kicks? You better think twice before calling me out again in a manner that is truly unfair to me. I will not take lectures from fans who were quick to write off this coach and certain players without a shred of decency enough to tender open apology.

I BELIEVED IN THIS TEAM AND ALL OF THE PLAYERS (UZOHO, OJO, NWABILI) FROM THE GET-GO, NOT YOU.

Oga relax! It is just banter and you are already foaming at the mouth. So much you had to respond 3 times! I called you out because even after Nwabali had posted good performances in consecutive games, you kept insisting on Uzoho which defied all logic. I have known you to be a fair and thorough analyst of the game so your comments at the time left me scratching my head.

Furthermore, except you do not want to be objective, there is no way we get to the final with Uzoho and so let us not pretend how he has let us down on so many occasions . You call us negative, I say realist and thank God for fans like us who objectively call it like it is (especially on the goal keeping situation) . Also, do not act like the coach did not make positive adjustments in this tournament; from his formations to personnel change. If my football knowledge is shallow, at least it was significant enough to call out for changes in the team and it worked.

Finally, lets get something right on this platform, I am not intimidated by anyone. I have refrained from hauling abusive words in anyone’s direction (Except now in response to your word “shallow”); all I do is comment on the issues and sometimes I might not agree with your comment, other times I might agree but I respect your right to your own opinion regardless . I may not agree but respect it.

Golden Child Did you read my assessment of Nwabili against Angola below? No

1.Stanley Nwabili: he implemented his responsibilities with focus, confidence and assurances. His powerful palm diverted the course of a perilous goal-bound effort off a corner kick in the first half on a 1-1 situation – that ball could easily have sneaked in. He helped the team build out from the back with neat passes that were simple, yet effective, underlying his sterling qualities as a modern day goalie. On one unfortunate occasion though, his signature throw-out went straight to an opponent which led to a dangerous situation culminating in him having to then make a save thereby bailing himself out. When called into action again, he punched away excellently and emphatically from a tricky long range swirling shot (in the dying minutes) to retain our 1:0 lead and send a signal of his intentions to yet again keep a clean sheet. This was further emphasised when he grabbed a looping ball on the air in the dying minutes compellingly with an Angola waiting to head home. And he also executed some seemingly simple yet telling grabs, catches and saves. He was busier on the night and he stood up to be counted, making contributions that kept Nigeria in the game as he totally won me over with his unyielding attitude. 7/10

Golden Child you are the one foaming in the mouth. You called me out on Uzoho which is inaccurate and most unfair. I can distinguish between banter and accusation. I am a fan of Nwabili and Uzoho and, regardless of your stance, I still believe Uzoho is a very good goalkeeper who would have done a decent job if called upon.

I put it to you that you are also a liar. You lied when you said above that I pushed Uzoho’s agenda despite Nwabili playing well in 3 games. That is a lie, you are a liar.

You were negative, yes you were. You did not give this coach any chance going into the tournament. That is not objectivity, it is conclusion. If it were Uzoho who made penalty saves you will still come here to say you were “realistic” in your condemnation.

I too am not intimidated by anyone and I will defend my integrity robustly. I can copy and paste my ‘Retrospective Player Ratings’ which were favourable towards Nwabili.

I will defend my position robustly.

          @deo, this was from you:

Many fans are praying for Nwabili speedy recovery from injury, so am I. But, in the meantime, I firmly believe we have a more highly experienced goalkeeper in Uzoho who can equally get the job done in continuing this remarkable run of Super Eagles’ clean sheets if given the opportunity.

        • Golden Child on February 7, 2024 11:05 pm

          My response to that comment:

@deo, your analysis is lopsided. You are comparing apples with oranges. Quote frankly your bias for Uzoho is very obvious. Let’s take a look at the 7 goals conceded by Nwabali, 4 came from a friendly when the home based team played against a Mexican team. He was playing with defenders that that had not seen international exposure before with perhaps poor football education and limited tactical sagacity. If I recall even the Mexican coach praised 2 players in the team, one was iwuala and the other was the goal keeper. If you put Alisson Becker in the same team, he will concede a basket of goals. The other 2 goals conceded against guinea in a friendly was his 1st game for the SE A team, there are
bound to be jitters. Besides, In that friendly, a lot of the 1st 11 players were rested which will suggest that we were spending more time defending than attacking.
Since the commencement of this afcon, he has done very well. He has been commanding, organised his defense very well and the result is 3 clean sheets and 1 conceded goal. Two of the clean sheets came against top teams like ivory Coast and Cameroon. Even the coach and the former coach ( Rohr) all agree that he is better but here you are still talking about experience and trying to push this uzoho agenda. What happened to ” You don’t change a winning team”? Your experienced goal keeper is the reason why we missed out on the world Cup, under his watch , we are sitting behind Rwanda and south Africa in the WC group. I am almost tempted to believe this not the real @deo. This is how they keep telling us of Musa’s experience but he has become the SE mascot, leave Stanley for us. He is our new number 1.

I was agreeing with Pompei jokingly with a sad face that Nwabili is doing well.

I then went on to suggest – although joking but also in all seriousness – that people waiting for Uzoho to reclaim his slot have to wait a long time.

Meaning I was acknowledging that Nwabili was and still is doing a very good job.

            WHAT IS YOUR POINT????

Usually when you chat and you are joking, words like LOL , RTOFL , LMAO are used to convey that you are joking. In this case, you did not use them and so there is no way we will know that it was a joke. Why would you show a sad face to one of your players doing well? This is what you communicated that drew that response from me.

            • deo on February 7, 2024 11:32 pm

There is something called “dynamics” Golden Child. That was an exchange between Pompei and I which fed into our dynamics.

That aside, I remain consistent in stating that it was my preference for Uzoho to have retained his place and yes, Nwabili being an unknown quantity in international football left me to keep my faith in Peseiro’s judgement.

I never slandered Nwabili. Yes a pulled a jokey sad face to confirm my acknowledgement in the good job he is doing.

If I must take lectures, not from you who condemns coaches and players only make an almighty U-turn shamelessly once their performances have left you pelted with raw eggs.

            • Golden Child on February 7, 2024 11:39 pm

Nothing shameless in supporting your team especially when your criticisms are addressed. Besides, if that is what it will take for my team to be successful then I am HAPPY to be shameless.

            • Golden Child on February 7, 2024 11:41 pm

When you are now cornered, the narrative changed to a joke.

            • deo on February 7, 2024 11:47 pm

Golden Child, Criticism is quite different from condemnation. You condemn the coach and some players. That is bad taste, that is bad energy.

            • Golden Child on February 8, 2024 12:02 am

To each its own! You say it is condemnation, I say it is criticism. I criticized the team on the number of players the coach took to this tournament. I have been criticizing the team for them to look for better goal keepers as the likes of Uzoho and Maduka have inspired much confidence in recent times. I mocked them with the mantra “Let’s do it again” because leading into the tournament, things were not right and the results supported this position. However, what you did not highlight was the fact that in our 1st game against EQ Guinea, I praised the coach for his selection, citing that “He Surprised Me”. For one, I never thought he will drop Uzoho and the decision is serving the team well. For me when the right things are done, I have no problem aligning with the team. If things are not right then I will comment but the objective is to get my team to the enviable heights it should be.

            • deo on February 8, 2024 12:08 am

I hear you Golden Child. I too criticise players but very rarely do I think they do not have “redeeming qualities”

Yes, Peseiro, Uzoho, and Okoye were not overly impressive leading up to the tournament. But they’ve always had “redeeming qualities” which shone through in the case of Peseiro and can also come to the fore in the case of Okoye and Uzoho if given longer ropes to pull.

      • deo on February 7, 2024 11:12 pm

And Golden Child, I STILL STAND BY THAT STATEMENT TODAY.

Nwabili was rumoured to be injured. I said I wish him speedy recovery. But if he doesn’t recover on time, Uzoho can bail us out.

        WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT?

It show my consistency in believing in ALL THE PLAYERS PESEIRO SELECTED. Not like you who only join the bandwagon when a player starts playing well.

Very poor of you to be honest.

Oh Golden Child, did you read my assessment on Nwabili against Cameroon below? No

        1. Stanley Nwabili: he delivered a performance that showed how mature he has grown in this tournament. He read dangerous situations very well on several occasions like coming out of his area to kick the ball away from danger. His distribution was on point as these either found his colleagues or caused Cameroon problems (one that located Aina and another that led to a throw in after Osihmen’s hussle caught the eye). He continues to imbue his overall presentation with a sense of confidence and assurance not just in how he posture helped to keep Cameroon at bay, but how competent his movements were. He sustained injuries twice in the line of his duties, hopefully he recovers in time for the quarter final as the psychological air of confidence he has brought to that department will be harmed in his absence. 7.5/10

It’s not my fault that you aren’t conversant with the dynamics between Pompei and I.

If Nwabili reads all I (took precious time) to write about him above, I think he will discount one meaningless sad emoji.

What’s sad is how you wrote off Peseiro and some of the hard working players like Uzoho. One day, may God spare our lives, I will be here when you and your cohorts start to sing the praises of this same Uzoho.

Relax @deo. Calm down. I didn’t reckon with Uzoho too but it was nice to have a second option in goal. Prior to AFCON, Peserio and his team had played 15 recognized matches with only 3 of them ending with clean sheets (2 were against Sao tome).

At a point, you and Dr Drey were the ones still rooting for him here and it caused a panic here even though some of your comments appeared to be jokes, I admit that.

But your support for Peserio was unshakable (even if I still hope he walks away after AFCON sha as Nigeria would have been his major achievement).

If Uzoho does well, I am happy to be shameless as long as my team is doing well. Of course, we will praise him and if he drops stinkers like he has consistently done then we will push the agenda to have him dropped. Golden Child,

I think there is an inherent cruelness is always asking for players to be dropped and coaches to be sacked on the account of one stinker as you put it. I think that model and line of thinking is not sustainable.

But, like you say, “each to their own”

            • Golden Child on February 8, 2024 12:29 am

Come on @deo, football is performance driven business. Coaches are sacked by the minute and players are dropped also. And please be fair, Uzoho has been consistently dropping stinkers! The coach was stubbornly sticking to 424 formation. If my memory serves me correctly, we have only won 1 friendly since he took over(I might be wrong). His record at Venezuela was abysmal, our rankings declined consistently, we are currently 3rd in the WC group behind Rwanda and South Africa but he was still saying boldly he will win the afcon. Any right thinking person thought he must be out of his mind. A lot of us did not know what to make of him but credit to him, he had a plan and he made the required adjustments and the rest is history.

One thing that has be echoed loudly is the fact that Stanley Nwabali is a product of the Nigeria National Professional League.

If Nigeria as a country can invest in our league properly and run it with sponsors solidly like the South African PSL and North African Leagues, we as Nigeria have the potential of overtaking Brazil as the country with most footballing talent.

Give opportunity to players no matter how obscure the team they play for is once their talent is evident. Some people on this forum have insulted and tonguelashed Stanley Nwabali like crazy even before this tournament started. It is time to rebrand our league with real sponsorship to discover more okochas, Kanus and Nwabalis.

Hmmmmm…. Success is indeed a good thing. May we all find success in our endeavors in Jesus name.

See, almost everyone who was once against this coach and this team has suddenly become praise singers. All their errors and inadequacies are suddenly gone! Now we have a team who is infallible, highly efficient and impeccable in everything. God punish failure in our lives!

Nwabali that someone this forum tagged as inexperienced and largely untested suddenly became the darling of many. Uzoho days in the national team are surely numbered.

Ademola Lookmam who many on this platform has condemned as unsuitable and unfit for African football has suddenly became the song in everyone’s mouth.

Simon Moses has suddenly become a cult hero. That’s the guy that always took all the blame anytime the country lost prior to this competition.

Failure indeed is in an orphan.

Congratulations to the boys! You’ve proved us wrong. We’ve shallowed our pride and gotten the best response from you in a big way.

Bro, I never for once trusted that guy. You know why? Nigeria had the longest loding streak under him before this competition. I didn’t even know what to expect. 2 matches into a Wc qualifying series, we are trailing Rwanda. We found it so hard beating Lesotho at home and against Zimbabwe away, we were really struggling. We were conceding goals at an alarming rate, yet he wasn’t ready to make any change. Everything was just stagnant and going bad. So pardone me if I doubted him.

But immediately he started dropping his stubborn and unyielding toga, things started to change. That’s how he proved me wrong and I became a believer in his ability.

I apologize for doubting him but irs good he embraced change too.

I never recommended changing Nwabili for Uzoho after the tournament started. Yes before the tournament I advocated for Uzoho to retain his place, something I still stand by strongly.

But I have always acknowledged Nwabili’s good work and have rated him very highly in my player ratings.

Nwabili has done well but he will face stiff competition from Okoye (keeping regularly in Udinese) and Uzoho (if he returns to regular playing time) after this tournament. Which is a good thing.

I still can’t believe this is you, Deo. As it stands now, Nwabali is Nigeria no1. Uzoho has no place in the Super Eagles after the Afcon while Okoye may not smell Super Eagles again because he has turneddowna call from the gaffer/NFF. I know you understand what that means.

So, count Uzoho and Okoye out of the Super Eagles period.

Lastly, you haven’t recognized me as the person who introduced Nwabali to Nigeria.

At least say congratulations to me, my man now. It hasn’t been easy to achieve this.

          Good night.

@omo9ja can you please shut up. You advocated for Israel based keeper, Adeleye. You said with dessers, Nwakali etc, we won’t go far. Please shot that dirty mouth of yours

Omo9ja, you struck me as someone who needs help. Help to think straight and to carry yourself in a manner that convey good reasonable discussions. You seemed to be delusional by alluding to yourself as someone who discover the goalkeeper. Whom do you think will believe you by saying such a lie. Omo9ja, why do you lie. Your Desser will never be recall to this squad ever again. Your goalkeeper will never see the light in this squad again. From now on, Oga coach is now known as “The Professor Pereiro”

Who noticed Monkey Post hasn’t posted yet? He’s probably crying under his duvet. If Nigeria had lost, he would have flooded this page with his nonesense, telling everyone how Rohr would have qualified us for the final and probably win the cup. He would have called Osimhen a failure and wrote annoying lines about Peseiro.

I pray hard that Jose wins this cup for Nigeria, At least for the first time in 2 years, we will busy the ghost of the sacked German.

Deo, you and I have had wonderful exchanges on this forum in times past. On this occasion Golden Child referred to, I honestly thought you were serious.
My apologies. Especially for coming at you so hard when we had a difference of opinion.
Just as you calmed me down when I lost my temper recently, kindly allow me to reciprocate today.
You and Golden Child should please sheath your swords. We should be celebrating now, not quarreling.
Hopefully, we will have more reason to celebrate come Sunday.
      Peace ✌️

      Golden Child,

Really, I hear you. Our margins of acceptance and tolerance levels differ. One club will wait for a coach to fail 10 times, another club will sack a coach willy nilly.

I do respect your views but I guess calling me out on Uzoho shows you don’t respect my views.

This whole conversation started when you called me out.

Uzoho is not your cup of tea, fair enough. But for me, I still feel pity that he contributed to qualifying us for this Afcon only to sit on the bench whilst another goalkeeper profits from a change in formation that would or could or may have benefited Uzoho too.

Maybe I took calling me out the wrong way in which case I apologise.

But I am a firm believer that most players have redeeming qualities which can be harnessed to suppress their weak points.

      Congratulations to the Super Eagles!

@deo, You know I respect your views and I think I have reiterated that before on this platform. Your incisive analysis and your reviews after the game are really good but I honestly did not see that conversation going so far left. I accept your apology and also duly tender my own, it was never my intention to rile you up. One Love!

So when is it a crime to call him out. Bro he did ridicule Nwabali with his comments, you all can see it as a joke, but i will not. One thing is sure, if Nwabali performed poorly, he would be one og those who will come here and write epistle of how wrong it was to take him over uzoho. Where is his partner drey, you can see how quiet he has being since the tournament proper started. Have advised him to go open his own webpage, not interested in reading his write-up.

Thanks Justin. Uzoho is a good goalkeeper whom I think could have done well in this tournament. In fact he did well against Cameroon. I love Nwabili but he isn’t the finished article. His questionable parry in the dying minutes almost cost us the match if not for South African wastefulness.

No more star-gazing on which goalkeeper to anoint foe SE games. Someone has nwabalized himself in to fill the vacant spot. We thank God for this revelation.

      Such a long wait.

What did you say? you know very well if Nigeria was losing, that animal would have come here ranting, bringing some nonsense stats to come justify his claim. Please let him be free to call him names. He has insulted many on this platform and he would never back down. Don’t you see how peaceful the platform is without his sarcastic comments

Deo – I have steered clear of responding to you about this for some time but it has to stop.
Imagine you are still banging on about Uzohp Uzoho – trying your damnedest to retain some sort of relevance to your nonsensical stance – and I have kept quiet because I don’t like to rain on anyone parade but these Nigerian’s are just too fond of blowing smoke up your backside and all queuing up to pay you compliments and to me you all are just as bad as the other – with you, you need to stop being so stubborn and hard headed – it’s called passive aggression, stop trying to be all things to all people – it is nauseating to see, you should step out of yourself and look from an outside(self) perspective and maybe you’ll see what I mean! It’s very unbecoming of the image your’e trying to engender – trust me I am saying all this not as an attack on you- quite contrarily, it is because I still have small time for you – But I am get fed up with your drum banging about Uzoho and listing every goalkeeper whose name you managed to google up and offering them as competition to Nwabali – If the others can’t see through the ruse I CAN!
I am trying to be very nice – Your statement that –

” I love Nwabili but he isn’t the finished article. His questionable parry in the dying minutes almost cost us the match if not for South African wastefulness”

Is quite annoying and I am having to intentionally hold back from rising to that comment because its typical you as I have said – it is intentional “baiting” like a red rag to a bull – It is extremely passive aggressive – and I will jut briefly address it civilly because all these other heads may be susceptible to all that faff but I am certainly not – So according to you Nwabali is not the finished article right? Guess what? I 100% agree! My question to you though is – Is your Uzoho the finished article??
Given a choice between Nwabali’s parrying which (yes again) is 100% problematic – (but can be worked upon and will be quite easy to improve on if not completely cut out) and your Uzoho’s complete discombobulation and flappability at any shots taken anywhere from between 60yards to 15 yards from goal, give me Nwabali’s parrying all day every day!

Please stop all this talk as it makes one not want to come on here – I cannot stand patronistic behavior (deliberate or unintentional) and unfortunately for you – it’s not just the “fan boys” that come on here, we all do, so kindly rein it in a bit for the benefit of those with more than just one brain cell on here my friend so that we can all co-exist in peace – Now like I already said, this is not me trying to start anything but you are forcing people’s hands by some of the hot air you’re serving up.

We all have our own views and opinions about all sorts of things but constantly banging a particular drum is a little ott, it’s not as if – if you say it enough times it will become true – we all have our views on Uzoho – you cannot change people’s minds about something like that because we have all witnessed and had many experiences of Uzoho between the sticks – there are many things that are still open to debate but that Uzoho ship has long sailed, can we just leave it there now and let Pajero do the honours please. After all it is he who picks the team not you nor I

PS – A few typos in there (above) lol so excuse that, there’s far too little credit given to “proof reading” in the real world hehehe

The one thing I also forgot to add above was that – and I think someone else has actually mentioned this already, but there is absolutely noting wrong with us (fans) criticising any player or manager of any aspect of out football or team – It should not be done for fun of course but everyone who has a genuine gripe should be encouraged to air it, we are not regulated by martial law and it is very much a free country where everyone has and is entitled to their own opinion – It should not be taboo to criticise of speak up under any circumstances and if the point being made is daft, I am sure there’ll be no shortage of people pointing it out – in fact that is one of the most common activity that one comes across on here – so in a way, that takes care of itself – it can or may lead to improvement (as if the people who matter ie those who make the crucial decisions listen to what is being said on here) and at the very least it shows that people are not happy to settle for mediocrity – or whatever people see as not being good enough or can be improved upon.
