Nigerian Defender Osho Makes Championship Team Of The Week

Nigerian young defender who plays for Reading, Gabriel Osho, has been included in the EFL Championship Team of the Week, in his first game of the season, Completesports.com reports.

Osho’s inclusion was as a result of his impressive performance in Reading’s 5-0 win at Luton Town on Saturday.

It was Reading’s first win in their fourth game since football resumed in England.

In the Team of the Week, Osho was placed in the right-back in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The win took Reading up to 14th position on 52 points in the 24-team Championship table.

The 21-year-old England-born defender signed his first professional deal with Reading in July 2016, and extended his deal until the summer of 2020 on 3 January 2018.

He became the 49th graduate from Reading Academy when he made his debut in a 0–1 defeat to Middlesbrough on 22 December 2018 earning Man of the Match.

On 28 October 2019, Osho featured on trial for Ipswich Town U23’s in their game against
Coventry City.
