“The care we give to the skin is beyond skin, actually, because we also care for our consumers. That’s why we’ve brought them out to watch El Clasico, which is, of course, the biggest soccer event next to the World Cup and Champions League. This is what the connection is all about – connecting with our consumers and two powerful iconic brands, Real Madrid on one side, and NIVEA on the other.”
Adeyole explained further that the motivation for the watch party was to enable connection.

“We all need social connections, especially post-COVID,’ he said. “We bring people out to actually enjoy this atmosphere because we know football is a people’s game. Nivea just wants to bring people out to connect, have meaningful conversations, and enjoy themselves.”
On how this go beyond entertainment, Adeyole added: “This is beyond entertainment for us. Right now, we’ve signed a partnership between NIVEA and Real Madrid till 2030. What this means to the Nigerian consumers is that we’d have a repeat of El Clasico because the partnership continues to 2030. And we’re looking forward to even making it bigger.”
