Niger Tornadoes have confirmed the appointment of experienced tactician Kabiru Dogo as their new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Dogo signed a three-year contract with the Minna-based club and was officially unveiled on Wednesday at the club’s secretariat in Minna.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by the club’s newly appointed chairman, Dr. Abubakar Kuso, and the Permanent Secretary of the Niger State Ministry of Youth and Sports, who formally introduced the former El-Kanemi Warriors boss to supporters, stakeholders and members of the media.

Tornadoes Bank On Dogo For Success
The highly respected coach takes over with a wealth of experience in Nigerian football, having previously managed several top-flight clubs, including El-Kanemi Warriors, Nasarawa United, Kwara United, ABS FC and Sunshine Stars.
Dogo guided El-Kanemi Warriors to the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup last season, although the Maiduguri club suffered relegation from the NPFL after a difficult league campaign.
Widely regarded for his tactical discipline and ability to build competitive teams, Dogo has been tasked with steering the Ikon Allah Boys to a successful campaign after the club narrowly avoided relegation last season.
His appointment reflects Niger Tornadoes’ determination to strengthen the technical department and build a side capable of competing for honours while establishing itself among the NPFL’s leading clubs in the years ahead.
