NPL Playoffs: Bendel Insurance Hold Enyimba, Extend Unbeaten Streak

Bendel Insurance extended their unbeaten streak in the Nigeria Premier League to 21 games after they held Enyimba to a 1-1 draw in their Super Six playoffs tie on Wednesday.

Enyimba took the lead on 23 minutes through Sadiq Abubakar.

Abubakar curled the ball into the net following a superb counter-attacking move.

Insurance rallied back with Divine Nwachukwu netting the equaliser eight minutes before the break.

Deputy Echeta flotted the ball inside the box and Nwachukwu nodded home superbly.

It was Nwachukwu’s second goal of the playoffs.

Enyimba maintained top spot on the standings with five points from three games.

Insurance are still looking for their first win after playing three consecutive draws.

Bendel insurance will keep drawing until they loose the main trophy, Nigerian teams are not ruthless and consistent in terms of Domination.

Last last, they will win d FA cup on penalties after drawing in 90 mins and Q for d CAF confederation cup. A Team Dat just came from d 2nd tier and has not lost in 26 matches across all competitions deserves a lottttttttttt of accolades..

Yes dey deserve accolades but if you keep drawing matches and a team wins just two matches by that time all your 5 draws and unbeaten record will equal to only 5 points. To be champions you need to learn how to nick wins when it matters else your unbeaten record will be nonsense.

Infact there is no one to lose to, the worse they can get is draw, i am bored of these npfl football team they are all equal no team is better than the rest all you get from them is 1 1 0 0 1 1 all draw. Insurance in the name of unbeaten run they have been drawing all games like drawing board,
No wining no superplay, even enyimba the surpose giant wey surpose show class is also there drawing the line with lobbi and rivers drawing family, na league be this abi na juju, infact make the use the cup take fetch palmwine give the owl npfl players and teams non of them diserve to be called a league champion,. Drawing books

  • Put the blame of the boring 1 goal difference or 1 all draw on our local coaches lack of technical/tactical know-how and also the lack of proper football education, focusing on techniques, of our home grown talents. Players just shoot balls without any real purpose to score but just on a try your luck basis. Teams play without any form of intensity/deliberate attempt to work out a way to score. Somehow, you just struggle to keep watching for as less as 10minutes before you turn off your system and rather choose to do something else. GO WATCH THAT ENYIMBA TEAM COACHED BY KHADIRI KHANA THAT WON CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AND SEE HOW BAD FOOTBALL COACHING HAS DERAILED IN THESE RECENT TIMES IN NIGERIA. THAT ENYIMBA TEAM IS THE LAST NIGERIAN FOOTBALL CLUBSIDE TO HAVE PLAYED PROPER FOOTBALL.
