Imama Amapakabo, Head Coach of Abia Warriors, has disclosed that there is no time to waste as preparations for their maiden CAF Confederation Cup campaign begin immediately, Completesports.com reports.
Amapakabo’s team achieved their all-time best finish by placing third in the final league table, even with a game to spare. They currently have 60 points, while Ikorodu City, in fourth place, have 56 ahead of this weekend’s Matchday 38 clash.
“At the moment, one can say Abia Warriors have a good team. But then, globally, there is never a complete team,” began the former Rangers coach, who won the NPFL title in the 2015/2016 season.

“Every team would want to make additions going into major competitions. And I think we are not an exception.
“We will make additions. Preparation starts immediately. We are going to play at a higher competitive level than where we are right now.
“For me, we [Abia Warriors] cannot relax now. A whole lot of work needs to be done. Some kind of rejigging needs to take place,” the former Flying Eagles coach said.
