Oriental rivals, Enyimba and Rangers will clash in the opening game of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Championship play-offs at the Agege Stadium, Lagos on June 4, reports Completesports.com.
Rangers finished tops in the 2018/19 NPFL abridged championship Group A on 40 points from 22 matches to qualify for the Super 6. Enyimba finished third in the same group on 33 points, behind Lobi Stars (35 points), to also qualify.
The League Management Company – the organisers of NPFL, released the fixtures for the competition on Tuesday.
The encounter between the fierce rivals who have won the NPFL title seven times each will kick off at 3pm on June 4.
Former champions, Kano Pillars and Akwa United will do battle in the second game of the opening day at 5pm.
In the last game of the matchday-one, champions Lobi Stars will look to start the competition on a winning note when they face FC IfeanyiUbah.
In all, there will be five days, with all six teams facing each other in a league format.
The top two teams in the NPFL Super 6 competition will represent the country in the CAF Champions League next year, with the third placed team going on to feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
