Lagos and Rivers have dominated weightlifting event at ongoing 2024 National Sports Festival in Ogun State.
African champion, Omolola Onome Didih of Team Lagos won two gold and one silver medal for Team Lagos.
Didih claimed two gold medals in the snatch and total with a lift of 93kg and 205kg respectively.

She won silver in the clean and jerk, losing out to
Theresa Daniel Okon.
Team Rivers Ruth Nyong won two gold and one silver medal in the Women’s 49kg class.
Nyong lifted 75kg to claim gold in the snatch, while she won the second gold came with a total lift of 167kg.
She won silver medal with a lift of 92kg in the Clean & Jerk.
