Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh, has joined the coaching crew of Akwa United in the capacity of technical adviser, Completesports.com reports.
Obuh, who was in charge of the Golden Eaglets that won silver medal at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup finals staged in Nigeria, assumed duties at The Promise Keepers on Tuesday.
On Monday, Duke Udi, a former Nigeria international, was hired as chief coach of the 2017 Federation Cup winners.
“(John) Obuh has joined us. He has even started work as we look forward to the 2019/2020 season”, an official of the club confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.
Obuh has had coaching spells at Sharks, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Kwara United amongst other clubs before his latest appointment by Akwa United.
