Speaking to La Provence, Jose Maria Orobitg revealed Barca preferred a loan deal at this stage as they want to see how the 19-year-old develops. Juve’s offer is buy Miranda outright which is not something Barcelona are interested in at present. Miranda is in need of game-time to continue his development as his chances at the Nou Camp appear limited. Jordi Alba is Barca’s first-choice left-back and they have recently signed Junior Firpo from Real Betis as a back-up option.
Miranda has made just four first-team appearances for Barca, all coming last season, with none coming in La Liga. Last month, the teenager was part of Spain’s victorious team at the European Under-19 Championships.
