OFFICIAL: Dennis Joins Two-Time Champions League Winners Nottingham Forest On 4-Year Deal

Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Emmanuel Dennis from Championship side Watford.

Forest confirmed the signing in a statement on their website on Saturday.

Dennis joined Super Eagles teammate Taiwo Awoniyi at Forest after signing a four-year deal believed to be worth £20 million.

“Nottingham Forest is delighted to confirm the signing of striker Emmanuel Dennis from Watford,” the 1979 and 1980 European Cup (now Champions League) winners wrote.

“The 24-year-old forward arrives on Trentside having hit double figures for The Hornets last season, returning 10 goals from 33 Premier League starts.

“Prior to arriving in England, Dennis’ first professional venture was in Ukraine’s top-flight with Zorya Luhansk before enjoying a productive four-year spell in Belgium with Club Brugge, notably scoring twice in a 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid in the group stages of the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League.

“With seven international caps to date for Nigeria, the pacey forward links up with fellow countryman Taiwo Awoniyi to bolster The Reds’ attacking options.

“Welcome to The City Ground, Emmanuel!”

Is better than packing all of them in Watford doing nothing there so let’s separate them to see how it will go
Now Okoye Ekong and Dele with Kalu remains in Watford until they come back to PL

    • And they all gonna continue warming the bench because the only hope of cementing first team shirt is okoye but trust I don’t see him wrestling that glove from the current keeper, except a tremendous improvement from him.

Saying two times champions league winner is not gonna make it any better. This is just like when he joined watford. They took a whole bunch a se players, signed other players and still went down. Nottingham will most likely do the same thing, because they are signing a lot of players, they dont want to go down though. It will be bad luck if Dennis get relegated again

Dennis can score goals, but similar to what Yaya said when he is not involved in scoring he wont do anything else, and I witnessed it during the fifa world cup qualifiers. He doesn’t track back, but he loves getting yellow cards for fun without even trying, he’s selfish.

  • I knew Dennis can never play division 2 football……I told the people celebrating Watford relegation because Dennis snubbed afcon that they where only doing other SE players in Watford harm because Dennis will never go down with Watford……. Dennis is way above the championship and he is elite among the EPL……Good ball movement, confident on the ball, excellent finishing ability, pace, power, dribbling,……. Dennis is complete and super talented….. Sometimes I wonder if he was truely groomed locally in a Nigerian academy……Club brugge really wanted to destroy him because of his unceremonious behavior in brugge and they tagged him a stubborn player……But thank God the English premier league has adopted him and given him a second chance to find a new home……Up Northingham forest..up EPL….up all SE players confident enough to test themselves among the best in world football.

Akapa, Dennis has his issues. The problem with Nigerians is that we overhype our players. Dennis is not better than many championship strikers.
