OFFICIAL: FIFA Kicks Russia Out Of 2022 World Cup Qualifiers Over Invasion Of Ukraine

World football governing body, FIFA, has kicked Russia out of the 2022 World Cup qualifying play-offs, due to the country’s war in Ukraine.

FIFA officially announced Russia’ exclusion following key decisions by its Bureau of Organising Committee on Tuesday.

Poland had been due to face Russia in the semi-final of the play-off days earlier, but following the invasion of Ukraine the Polish FA and players made it clear that they did not want to face Russia.

Poland will now face either Sweden or the Czech Republic in the final.

FIFA also confirmed that the play-off semi-final between Ukraine and Scotland has been postponed, although the semi-final in that section between Wales and Austria will go ahead as planned.

The statement from FIFA read:“Today, the Bureau of the FIFA Organising Committee took key decisions in relation to the European play-off matches for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, following consultation with UEFA and the participating FIFA member associations.

“On 3 March 2022, the Ukrainian Association of Football wrote to FIFA requesting that its qualification match(es) be rescheduled owing to the impossibility of organising both the travel and training of a team under the current circumstances.

“Following consultation with UEFA and the four participating member associations in Path A of the European qualifying play-offs, it was unanimously agreed in the spirit of solidarity to accept this request. The match between Scotland and Ukraine, initially scheduled for 24 March 2022, will now be postponed to the existing June window, and consequently, the match between the winners of Scotland v. Ukraine and Wales v. Austria will also be postponed to the same window.

“It was further agreed that the match between Wales and Austria will remain as scheduled on 24 March 2022, owing to the need to limit the disruption to the competitive matches already scheduled for the June window in what is an already congested calendar.

“Alternative fixtures for affected teams in the March window are being explored by the relevant parties. Similarly, the details of the rescheduled fixtures will be announced in due course and the international match calendar window of June will be adapted as necessary for the teams concerned once these details have been finalised.

“In addition, subsequent to the decision of 28 February 2022 taken jointly with the UEFA Executive Committee to suspend all Russian teams from participation in both FIFA and UEFA competitions until further notice, the Bureau of the FIFA Organising Committee decided that Poland will receive a bye to the final of Path B due to take place on 29 March 2022, in which they will face the winners of the match between Sweden and the Czech Republic.”

LMFAO! Ehen! Very good!! Very soon there will be a planet meeting (all the countries in this world).

And they will kick them out of this planet.(Earth) LMFAO!!

Let them go and stay in another planet and do their war there. LMFAO!!!

    • I didn’t realize that the first guy wasn’t you until I saw your own post @monkey post, but I really think it will be better if the FIFA doesn’t involve in National politics.
I think the athletes of Russia are the own who are feeling the beat if the drum, If the other country want to take action they should conclude to take Russia control from Putin and give it to another body if he disagree they should send a private group to kill him and declare him wanted in every country like they did to bin ladin samal, because how can they kick every Russian athletes form their sports when it’s not them fighting against the Ukrainians some are even calling for peace but they are the ones who are being punished for Putin’s action.
And another issue is that Putin has warned them not to kick Russia out of the world cup, that should not involve in politics, that is Russia is kicked out there won’t be a world cup……… The reason am concerned is that they shouldn’t blow up Nigerians player when we go to Qatar, pls o bring back the Russians since they not qualify before
