ROMEO could be a vital defensive link up in the middle pack with the touch of Arturo Vidal Animosity! Barca has always craved for the presence of defensive marshall who could be very physical and also a ball playing type. Because of Barca reputation up front which has formed their tiki taka culture, they’re always subject to attacking trait from opposition teams.
This was the main reason Barca signed Arturo Vidal back in the days to replace Bussi in the role. Bussi is good but there are more aggressive touches Barca invision in the role. That’s why Bussi can comfortably pull down a player and get penalized with yellow card as though it’s part of the game.
For Barca, that role requires more than what we see from Frankie. Frankie is is perfect up front but can not ideally marshal out what that role requires
Honestly I love Frankie! But as a Coach, I wouldn’t vote him for that role. I would vote Romeo 100%.
I would rather vote Frankie as a guaranteed starter up front ahead of Gundigan. Gundigan wasn’t outstanding in my champions league analysis as the player gave out many balls while under pressure…..I fancy him to be more of Turan kind of player…slow and probably….
