Oforboh Reveals Champions League Dream

Rangers new boy Nnamdi Ofoborh says he can’t wait to play in the UEFA Champions League next season, reports Completesports.com.

Oforboh penned a pre-contract deal with the Gers last week and is excited with the prospect of linking up of the Scottish Premiership side in the summer.

Rangers are on the verge of clinching their first league title in a decade which means Ofoborh and his new team-mates will have crucial Champions League qualifiers to look forward to in July.

And having dreamt about playing in the tournament since he was a kid, the 21-year-old is desperate to sample it at Gers.

Ofoborh who has signed a four-year deal to follow Cherries team-mate Jack Simpson to Ibrox, told MailSport: “It has always been a dream for me to play in the Champions League.

“I’m a person who has confident in my ability and I’ve been through a lot already in my career.

“But I always told my friends that one day I’ll play in that tournament. If I get that chance at Rangers, I’ll have done it way earlier than I expected.

“It would be a massive achievement for me.

“I’m buzzing about the move. It’s still a bit surreal to me that I’m actually joining a club like Rangers.

“I just can’t wait to get up there, get started and do what I need to do.”

Ofoborh was born in England but has chosen to represent Nigeria on the international stage.

He’s played for the Under-20s but knows all about the game here in Scotland.

He added: “I know all about Rangers.

“I grew up watching any game of football I could get my hands on.

“I just love football, it’s always been my thing. If
I’m not playing it, then I am watching it.

“I remember watching the Old Firm matches.

“I’ve spoken to a lot of people about the fans up there [in Scotland] not just in the Old Firm game but
in general.

“It’s a sell-out crowd and to play in front of 50,000 supporters will be really incredible for me.”
