Okazaki Ready For Pastures Now

Japan international Shinji Okazaki is reportedly ready to leave Leicester City on a free transfer this summer.

The former Mainz forward has failed to impress Brendan Rodgers since the Northern Irishman took charge of the Foxes in February.

Okazaki has made 20 appearances so far this season, but Jamie Vardy continues to lead the line for the 2016 Premier League champions.

His future has been up in the air for several months, but the fan favourite has now decided to end his four-year stay.

Huddersfield Town tried to sign Okazaki in January, but he opted to stay put for the time being.

He has made 112 league appearances for the club, but he now looks set for a new venture into Europe, with Spain or Italy on his agenda.

The 32-year-old wants regular football under his belt before trying to represent Japan at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Danny Simpson and Christian Fuchs are also set to leave at the end of the season, with the trio the latest players to leave following their historic league success in 2016.
