Nigeria forward Peter Olayinka is delighted to sign a contract extension with Czech Republic outfit Salvia Prague, reports Completesports.com
I am excited to have been given the opportunity to extend the contract in Slavia and to continue it,”Olayinka told Slavia TV.
“It is very important for me to know that the club trusts me and that it wants me to stay longer. That pushes me forward.”
Olayinka joined Slavia for the then record transfer amount of 3.2 million euros at the end of July 2018.
Since then, he has played 85 competitive matches for the club , in which he scored 17 goals and 10 assists.
He scored four goals in European competitions – in the Champions League group at Inter Milan, in the Champions League playoffs at Midtjylland and this year in the European League at home against Leverkusen and a few weeks later at Nice.

Why Peter Olayinka is not a Super Eagles regular is beyond me. We cannot be misguided, Peter Olayinka is far better than Samuel Kalu or Samuel Chukwueze on either flank. As a centre forward, Peter Olayinka is far better than Victor Osimhen.

@Christian Ministries Nigeria… list how many Super Eagles players are starters in EPL,Laliga and Bundesliga. We look at players’s club and not their intrinsic ability. People like Iheanacho cannot continue warming bench at club while laying claim o starter’s berth in Eagles… some are even unattached!

Na wa oh he is better but signs contract extension in Czech….people just make unguided football statements sometimes like what is your yardstick for such an argument? He is a decent footballer but I totally disagree with you that he is better than the aforementioned names.

From the little I’ve watched of Olayinka, I think it could be argued he deserves another invite to the SE fold. But to say he’s better than Chukwueze, Kalu & Osimhen, that definitely raises an eyebrow.
I’d even rate Ejuke and Lookman as more direct competitors to our current LWF & RWF men. As for the main striker’s role, Olayinka could be an option for a pairing or sub role (there are other exciting options we all know too). But I don’t think he can displace Osimhen as first choice number 9 – and that’s pure footballing reasons.
Peter comes off as a hustler, always heckling opposing defences and wanting to get a goal in, willy-nilly. He’s not about sexy football and I like that. Rohr has given him an opportunity before to strut his stuff. Perhaps it’s time for another look in by the gaffer
Same for Maja, Simy, Sadiq, Kayode and new kids on the block like Lookman, Olise, Ejaria etc – with enough minutes to make a fair assessment (both by the coaching crew and the watching SE fans).
We’re all nigerians and we love all nigerian players….
But the way some of us exergerrate about a particular player or coach make us look as if we have been watching a different player….
It would make us start digging facts and stats of that player and another person that sees it may think we don’t like the player….
Let’s try and stop all this unequal comparism…..

OLAYINKA played against BARCA from the left winks, how many goals did he score?
But CHUKWUEZE have scored and assisted against BARCA…. He also operate from the winks (right)….
Each time VILLAREAL faces (BARCA or MADRID), Chukwueze is always marked by 2 or 3 players…..
JORDI ALBA is an overlaping player but once he faces Chukwueze, his coach cautions him to stay and play….. To show u the fear & thread he posses….
