The Nigeria international is expected to leave the club this summer following their relegation to the Segunda Division last season.

Omeruo have a lot to improve as a player.. His passes are very poor.

@Sammy,that is a total departure from the true Omeruo I know. You really have to go back and rewatch all his matches for SE and his Club.I remember the sublime pass to Musa against Iceland for the second goal.He might improve on his passes generally as does other players, but his passes are far from being poor.Pls take note.

    • OMERUA AND TROOST ARE TOO SIMILAR IN STYLE. BOTH ARE NOT COMFORTABLE ON THE BALL, BOTH DONT HAVE GOOD PASSES, TROOST IS JUST A BIT FASTER THAN OMERUA.SO PLAYING BOTH OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME AGAINST AN EXPERIENCED SIDE WILL BE DISASTROUS.
SUPER EAGLES NEEDS A LEFT FOOTED CENTRE BACK AND A DEFENDER WHO IS COMFORTABLE ON THE BALL.

… Jordan Torunarigha or Felix Udokhai is the answer. Troost is often very nervous.

Tosin Adarabioyo is definitely knocking on the door too while hoping to feature for the super eagles at the next world cup…

Rohr confirmed about last two weeks ago that two foreign born players have accepted the call to come player for Nigeria without mentioning names. I am suspecting the likes of Felix uduokhai and Jordan torunarigha and if I am right with my thoughts, that means the defenders at our disposal presently needs to buckle up because the competition is getting more intense…

  • His continue staying at Leganes will glaringly put hitch to his SE chances. I hope he looks elsewhere for better člub

Most especially with the Return of Balogun to form with Rangers and also Semi Ajayi’s emergence in the Premier League soonest. Hmmm, I doubt he will smell the line up if he remains in that club o cuz it’s obvious Coach Rohr is not his fan like that no matter how well he do in La Liga 2, Coach Rohr will always prefer an In-form and Experienced Leon Balogun to partner EKONG or Now Ajayi. To worsen the whole case is if Awaziem makes a move to a good club. Awaziem will be the one fighting for space in the Defence even more than him (Omeruo)

    • Established Super Eagles players will not be dropped if they play at lower levels. For Example, Etebo kept his place whilst playing in the English Championship, Musa kept his place even after moving to Saudi Arabia, Leon Balogun got a call up based on his dropping to the English championship with Wigan, both Semi Ajayi and Jamilu Collins broke into the Super Eagles whilst playing in the first divisions of England (Rotherham and West Brom) and Germany (Paderborn).

Having said that, I expect that both Omeruo and Awaziem will be signed by La liga clubs, even if only on loan for Omeruo. La liga 2 is a higher league than the Saudi (Musa), the Chinese (Ighalo), the Cyprus (Uzoho) leagues. A player does not become a bad player overnight because their club was relegated from one of the top leagues.

His place is assured at least for the next 12 months or until new recruits come on board and actually give performances that mean they cannot be dropped
