Trabzonspor head coach Fatih Tekke has expressed confidence that Paul Onuachu will soon rediscover his best form for the club.
Onuachu is yet to find the back of the net for the Black Sea Storm this season after enjoying a prolific campaign last term.
The Nigeria international was one of Trabzonspor’s standout performers last season, scoring 26 goals across all competitions.
Tekke Urges Patience With Onuachu
Despite the striker’s slow start to the new campaign, Tekke has urged supporters to remain patient and give him time to regain his scoring touch.
The Trabzonspor boss stressed that Onuachu’s impressive contribution last season should not be overlooked, insisting the forward still has an important role to play for the team.
“If we are talking about the Europa League today, Paul scored 26 goals for us. Don’t we see something wrong with that?” Tekke told karadenizgazete.com.tr.

“Let’s be patient with Paul too. Even if he plays badly for two games, he’s showing this performance after only three training sessions.
“Three training sessions. Nobody knows what happens in those.
“The player who goes out there is not a robot. These people have emotions; they have problems.
No Qualms Over Goal Drought
The Trabzonspor coach is confident Onuachu will soon rediscover his goalscoring form.
“He will start scoring. Did he score? He will start scoring; he is going to,” Tekke added.
“But Paul, I mean, doesn’t this boy deserve applause? Therefore, our situation is good.”
