Onuachu Reflects On Scoring Streak At Trabzonspor

Paul Onuachu has reacted to his scoring feat at Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor, reports Completesports.com.

Onuachu made history as the first Trabzonspor player to score in his first three games for the club after netting in the 2-1 win against Pendikspor on Saturday.

The Nigeria international scored on his debut for the Burgundy Blues against Besiktas and also hit target in the second game against Hatayaspor.

The striker said he didn’t follow history much but is happy with his performance for the club.

“To be honest, I personally don’t follow history very much. But if you come to a team like Trabzonspor, of course you try to help your team, you try to make your fans happy,”Onuachu was quoted by Sozcu.

” I am very happy with my individual performance for myself and my team. I have never set a goal goal in any team I have played for so far. I said of course I will always try to score. But I did not set a goal or number for myself in this regard. I will be targeted and focused, match by match.”

The 29-year-old joined Trabzonspor on loan from Sky Bet Championship club Southampton last month.

The forward endured a difficult six-month spell at Southampton before the switch.

Onuachu joined the Saints from Belgian Pro League club KRC Genk in January 2023, but failed to register a goal in 12 league appearances.
