Paul Onuachu can’t hide his excitement after playing a key role in Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup triumph, Completesports.com reports.
The Nigeria international scored twice as Trabzonspor defeated Konyaspor 2-1 in the final on Friday night.
The Black Sea Storm clinched the Turkish Cup for a record 10th time, having suffered defeats in their previous two appearances in the final.

Onuachu was a deserved recipient of the Man of the Match award.
His international teammate Chibuike Nwaiwu also featured for Trabzonspor in the game, while veteran striker Anthony Nwakaeme was an unused substitute.
Fatih Tekke’s side secured qualification for next season’s Europa League play-off round with the victory.
Difficult Win For Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor made a strong start with Onuachu finishing from close range in the 17th minute after a cross from Wagner Pina.
Konyaspor equalised early in the second half through Congolese striker Jackson Muleka.
They had the chance to take the lead, but Enis Bardhi hit the post from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.
Trabzonspor were awarded a penalty for handball 11 minutes from time which was calmly converted by Onuachu.
Onuachu Relishes Tough Win
Onuachu insisted that the cup was a gift for the city, and fans.
“Two years ago, we were very close to winning in the final but we couldn’t,” Onuachu recounted.

“Last year, there was also a final we lost.
“We didn’t want to lose three years in a row. We were aware of that.
“May this cup be a gift to both our city and our fans.”
The 31-year-old striker was joint top scorer in the Turkish Super Lig, where Trabzonspor placed third.
He scored 26 goals across all competitions for the Blue and Clarets in the 2025/26 season.
