Why has this guy been overlooked by coach after coach? I have the feeling that he would have handed us the WC ticket!

    • Greenturf 1 year ago

Are you messing?Have you not seen games after games he underperformed for the super eagles?
Just because he is scoring for his club everyone has forgotten how bad he was for the super eagles.

      • KangA 1 year ago

People were not patient with him. The coach should study how he being used in his club. Something is missing somewhere.

      • Felix 1 year ago

You also forgot that he scored for Nigeria few months ago, I think that was his last appearance for Nigeria.

Onuachu should be the second striker to be considered after Osimhen, he is a goal scorers.

If players in Belgium league can be part of Belgium Squad, I wonder why Belgium league top scorers cannot make the Nigerian squad.

So which of the forwards were good against Ghana?

    @KANGA NICE one!

  • Codex 1 year ago

Watched the match last night (Genk vs charleoi) he was unplayable throughout the match over to you NFF

  • This Paul is another Yekinni that Nigeria is ignoring, I don’t want to assume there’s dirty politics in it
In some climes this guy will be a hero.

Onuachu, you are a blessing to Nigeria. You will do great things next year. All coaches know your true quality.
Heaven bless Onuachu and all deserving Super Eagles players.

    • Onuachu goals doesn’t move us again so long He remain in that league. Aba kée, even chidioze Anwaziem a core defender is now scoring goals week in week out. Wo spill this news out o jare.

Simon, Osimhen, and Awoniyi used the Jupiter league as a developmental platform to raise their skills and value. Simon, Osi9 and Awo are highly rated in the top 5 leagues.
I could be wrong but Alhassan, Boniface, and Onyedika might move to bigger leagues soon.
Onuachu has overstayed his relevance in the Jupiter league.
For an unbias comparison and evaluation against Osi9, Awo, Moffi, and Desser, Onuachu needs to move to a top 5 league and perform better..
Scoring in Jupiter league is not equivalent to the french ligue, Series A and Premiership..
As long as Moffi, Osi9, Awo and Dessers are fit and scoring, they are ahead..

  • But players from Belgium leaque will be in the world cup ABI yet a free-scoring Nigerian playeris not good in the eyes of Nigerians to be called into their national team as if there is any Nigerian striker that comes near half near the no of goals he has scored cumulatively for country and club in the past three years.
To say he is not even good to be considered for friendly is an injustice , unfair and disrespectful to this cool headed talent.
There must be sth fishy in if oring this talent.
How does his coach make maximum use of him?

  • Imoh Sunday 1 year ago

Sincerely the coaches doesn’t really know how to use this guy in the national team. For us to bring out the best from this guy in the national team, bring in good wingers who will feed this guy with crosses, and then see what he will do. It is obvious that this guy is good at crosses, rather than down passes. I watched the game from the beginning to end yesterday, and that was my first watching him in the club football. Please, this guy is very good, and too good to make our national team squared anytime, anyway. I feel he’s just unlucky that we have someone like Osimhen in the fold right. Good player……..I celebrate you bro.

  • Why Onuachu does not score regularly for the super eagles is because there no good
ball crossers to feed him with the desire aerial balls needed for him to node. The
simple truth is that our coaches uses only single pattern of play through ground ball.
Where you introduce tall players like Onuachu, the wingers should change their pattern
by crossing to feed him with pin point aerial balls. But the coaches in SE, no.

  • Lord AMO 1 year ago

Everyone keeps saying tell the wingers to cross it to him and he’ll succeed.  First of all, where are the wingers that are gonna do that? The wingers we have, that is not their game.  In other words, Onuachu does not fit the style of the players we have on the team already, which is no surprise that he isn’t being called up because the coaches, who know these things, understand exactly what im saying.

Now the flip side of this is that the other strikers we have seem to know how to score goals in a variety of ways other than from crosses from the wings.  They combine well with the Simons, chukwueze’s and co

  • Gritty 1 year ago

This reskless assumption of yours@Lord AMO is one of the reasons Nigeria will not be at the world cup. What extra does Haaland do other than get the appropriate services from wingers and midfielders and scores. On Saturday, Debrune won a penalty, Haaland stepped up and converted it. The earlier you realise the ethics of the game, the better.

Mind you, Onuachu’ first goal for SE was a distance volley into the net…He has scored goals for SE using both feet and head. So when you have a tall strike who is equally good in the air, doesn’t common sense tell you to also utilise that merit?

This was how some persons here kept shouting Aribo should play 10, he is better than Iwobi. Okay nah, against Ghana Aribo couldn’t perform as a 10 (No split passes, No forward dribbles, No vision, etc).

Pls allow the Coaches figure things out for the SE. Some of those chances Sadiq and Osimhen and Awoniyi could not score in ‘AFCON'(but Osi) and WCQ, Onuachu’ would have converted for us.

    Abeg make una rest.

    • Lord AMO 1 year ago

@gritty, you’re all over the place with your comment.  What part of what i said do you disagree with? If so, kindly tell us what the fixes are.  What has Aribo’s best position got to do with any of what we are discussing here?  What does Haaland taking a pena that Debruyne won got to do with Pauly O fitting in with the style of play the eagles currently? Fine, if you wanna say man city plays to Haaland’s strength then say so.  Although based on your incoherent ramble, i cant be so sure that’s what you meant.  Even If that were the case, you’d be missing the key point which is, Haaland was recruited to join a team already in place where the coach determined that he would fit in with the skill set of the players already there.

Sure Pauly O scored a volley in his debut but we also saw how he struggled to trap ball in subsequent matches in both friendlies and in the afcon proper.  Even a blind man could see that he did not fit with the players around him.  Again, please name the wingers we have that know how to put in crosses from the wings.  That’s just not the strength of our wingers or even fullbacks for that matter.  There is also the part where Pauly O has been ignored by teams in bigger leagues for two seasons now.  Mind you he’s made it clear he wants to leave.  Are you gonna tell us those teams in the big leagues are idiots for not bringing him in.

Bros you sound like an angry frustrated person.  Calm down and address the points made instead of being off topic and coming off looking like you dont know what you’re talking about
