Yusuf has also been making waves for another Belgian club Royal Antwerp this season.

  • Yes, the SE desperately needs decent midfielders, particularly good attacking midfielder which is currently lacking in the team.

    • Greenturf 2 years ago

      Unfortunately they’re not attacking midfielders.

      • Call them any name you want but they are midfielders and SE Midfield needs new blood….No need to waste midfield slots on clubless Etebo and Shehu then Keep such precarious talents like Onyedika and Yusuf out then expecting results

I’m not against Alhassan and Raphael’s invitation to the super eagles. Why should i?They merit any future invitation should the gaffer look their way, however, the point i was making to @Tony who was clamouring for attacking midfielders inclusion to the super eagles was the aforementioned players are not attacking midfielders.
          Rather they are central/defensive midfielders.
Notwithstanding, their inclusion is welcomed they have been pivotal for their European clubs so far,on that ground they should be part of the super eagles.

          • They are modern day midfielders who have the capacity to create opportunities and also defend adequately. They are mobile and strong and good passers of the ball. They don’t just sit in front of the defense and get the ball from the opponent just to pass it to the nearest player. They will add something new to the team.

Etebo is not clueless not a chance! In fact he has been one of our best midfielders since 2016.
Unfortunately, wrong club choices and lately injuries slowed him down but he has always had a good shift in the colours of the super eagles.

    • DON'T MIND THEM 2 years ago

YOU CAN SEE THAT BEST QUALITY OF ATTACKING-DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER IN “UCHE AZUBUIKE” no matter which club is playing for.

  • Pesiero knows his work and he will succeed I can boldly tell you that…… First step for him to succeed is by never listening to those greedy people around him who call themselves assistants because they are mostly after their pocket….. This singular step of his is an indication that he wants to make a name for himself…..Go to Europe and see for yourself…..Go to Europe and listen to coaches and pundits who know our future generation talent…… Scout local academies to discover raw talented players before they move abroad…..Every season new talented Nigerian players pop up but we still complain of quality in the national team why?…… Because we have refused to evolve and we keep using the same method and expecting a different result……. History has always thought us that we succeed mostly when we did the unthinkable by trying new ideas.

  • I Would have like NFF to use this opportunity to reach out to the best attacking Nigerian Midfielder Eberechi Eze for these games these are the type of games that Nigeria should be using to tie these guys down to our cause before his profile sky rockets which it definitely will by the end of this season if not sooner.

One thing I like about both players is their range of passing. To be honest maybe only Iwobi has a better passing range than the duo. Ndidi is only better than them in tackling. Alhasan is a bundle of energy like N’GOLO Kante. While Onyedika reminds me of a prime Oliseh. At 21 and 22 there’s no better time to integrate them into the SuperEagles than now.

    What about IGHALO?

    HOPE PESEIRO will INVITE HIM?

    OSIMHEN and SADIQ are OUT…

So WE currently don’t have who will STRIKE for US….

Even though it’s just FRIENDLY, WE still need to come out DOMINANT and with a WIN…

    • JULIET 2 years ago

WE DON’T IGHALO IN SUPER EAGLE AGAIN. IGHALO SHOULD GIVE CHANCE TO YOUNG LADS. HIS EXPERIENCE IS NO LONGER BE NEEDED IN SUPER EAGLE.
** UCHE OKEREKE,TEREM MOFFI IS 100% BETTER THAN IGHALO, BASE ON THE PRESENT FORM AND QUALITY OF LEAGUE WHERE THEY PLAY FOOTBALL.
** If IGHALO doesn’t want to embarrassed himself by the young ones , he should just CALL IT QUIT in super eagle

Bro, thankfully its not just me, the guy looks exactly like Paul pogba in most of his pictures I’ve seen, talking of passing range I hope he offers something similar

    MY ADVICE FOR JOSE PASEIRO
@** Work hand to hand with your Technical crews
@** Let the invitation of players base on merit
@** Don’t allow anybody FORCE/IMPOSE any players on you. Instead SCOUT for players & test them in Friendly matches
@** Invite local players that is ready to give foreign professional players a stiff competition (not the one to add to the number/surplus to requirements).
    @** Always maintain your stand
@** Don’t allow anybody to be pushing you up and down.
@** Don’t be carried away with the club performance of players ONLY but base on PRESENT FORM & POTENTIAL
@** Do not tolerate INDISCIPLINE into your team.
#** Do not invite players in order to pacify/please somebody (like local Coach Equavoen)
@** Encourage your players to be STRONG & MORE PHYSICAL when it comes to Africa football
@** Try to take advantage of newly introduced format: FIVE-SUBSTITUTION in a match(approved by CAF & FIFA) as an opportunity to test-run other players and MORE TECHNICAL in it.
@** Emphasize more on WING PLAY pattern for Super eagle

  • TALK UR OWN 2 years ago

BY NOW, AHMED MUSA, LEON BALOGUN, DANIEL AKPEI, KEÑNETH OMERUO SHOULD HAVE RETIRED FROM SUPER EAGLE. BECAUSE
** They are SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENT
** They are creating SHORT-ONE to the team
** They are blocking the chances of other players that suppose to shine.
*** IN 2002 world cup, what is the impact of MUTIU ADEPOJU to the team? ANSWER=FAILURE & SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENT
IN 2010 W/CUP, what is the impact of KANU to the team? ANSWER=SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENT & FAILURE.
DON’T LET BE DECIEVING OURSELVES ABOUT EXPERIENCE, IF YOU ARE OLD, YOU ARE OLD.

    • If they like let them keep us backward. it is high time this country learns from past mistakes and stop living in the past and riding on past glory. @TALK YOUR OWN thank you bros you have said it all. if dem like let Musa play and Captain Nigeria until he is 90 yrs and in walking stick or wheelchair. We will keep laughing as this mumu country keeps failing because of Buhari quota system and, the fact that the captain must be of Fulani decent. YEYE! Mtcheeew!!

    • Golden Child 2 years ago

How on earth will they retire with their “Emi Lokan” mentality! The real problem with Nigeria is not the leaders but the people.

  • I DEY SHAME 2 years ago

    ### IRRELEVANT PLAYERS IN THE SUPER EAGLE ###
I want to used this medium to advice Coach PASEIRO to thrash away irrelevant players in Super eagle. Any players that can not be 90% relevant on the field of play in their respective clubs SHOULD NOT BE INVITED to Super eagle team again. Because their inclusion are:
    ** 1) SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENTS
    ** 2) creating SHORT-ONE into the team
** 3) BLOCKING THE CHANCES of other players that want to sign.

I have already said Peseiro must make overhaul in Nigeria pattern of play and selecting strong and agressive and ferocius players epecially defensive midfielders and center backs; Super Eagles style of play must be changed to the best style; on changing players Peseiro must exclude shaky and weak players who are not in forma or players who sit on reserves I think players like William Troost, Etebo, Iheancho, Ajayi, Akpeyi, Balogun, Abdullahi Shehu, Okoye , Bonke, must be excluded finally from the SE team; players like Alhassan Yusuf , Usman Mohammed,Onyedika, Anderson Esiti, Valentine Ozorwafor, Kevin Akpoguma , Kingsley Ehisibeuh, Victor Boniface, Egoh Ugboh , Moses Usor, Yira Sor,, Mark Ugboh the goalkeeper, as veteran passed coatch Stephen Kitche has overhauled SE in 2013 to a new team which has won Afcon. Cup in 2013 in South Africa.

    • That is why you can never succeed as a coach. That was how you created problem for Eguavon. How on earth will a coach drop 50% of his squad and go for untested and inexperience players mtcheeew.

  • Golden Child 2 years ago

If the news making the rounds is anything to go by then Alhassan Yusuf & Onyedika would be making their respective debuts this September. I would like to see Malcom Ebiowei invited for the friendlies, i believe he only played for England u16 and would not require the arduous process of fifa change. For those who are calling for eze to be included in this list; they should do their home work, it is simply not feasible at this time.

    My people I hail o

I saw these 2 guys playing in the same team who I had never heard of before, but from what I saw, I would call both up!
They are Ibrahim Akanbi Rasheed / Iyayi Believe Atiemwen both forwards/left sided wingers, both very quick strong direct and very attacking indeed!
I was impressed, these guys are playing in Moldova – Sheriff Tiraspol
    Pesiero CALL THEM UP!
And tell your scouts to go everywhere! Look everywhere for these hidden gems!

Well said brotherman Field Marshal. Those two players are okay. Their league doesn’t matter.
