Onyedika’s Coach At Club Brugge Parker Sacked

Super Eagles midfielder Raphae Onyedika will play under a new head coach at Club Brugge following the sacking of Scott Parker.

Parker was sacked by the Belgian giants following their 5-1 Champions League defeat to Benfica.

The former Fulham and Bournemouth boss only took charge in December but has won just two of his 12 games.

The final humiliation came in the Champions League drubbing to the in form Portuguese side, that ended as a 7-1 aggregate loss.

Club Brugge have conceded 46 goals in all competitions this season – 21 of those have come since Parker’s first match in charge in January.

Speaking before he was fired Parker said:“I’m not sure, I’m not in control of that,’ he said when asked about his future.

“I understand why you ask me that question. It’s been aimed at me for some weeks now. Now that momentum has picked up. I can’t really control that.

“I’m not in a power position to understand it and you are asking probably the wrong person in that what I am is fully committed in trying to turn that corner around and that’s what I’ll do.”

Parker was a Premier League manager at the start of the season after taking Bournemouth up from the Championship.

However, a 9-0 loss to Liverpool and disagreements about transfers saw him leave the Cherries in August
