Divock Origi has expressed delight to have joined AC Milan from Liverpool.
The former Liverpool striker formally signed for the Italian champions this week.
Origi said, “We spoke on various occasions towards the end of the season but I was focused on Liverpool.
“I soon understand how big the Milan project was. There is a special project here which I am totally on board with and of Milan’s legacy, it’s special history is ideal for my mentality.
“For me it’s an honour to be part of it. This club has a legacy which is passed on from generation to generation. To bring my qualities to this group is an honour.”
On Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, he continued: “Speaking to them was decisive. Maldini was one of the best players in the world, an example for me.
“Massara is becoming a great director. These directors brought important values.
“I am grateful to be a part of this group. I know how important the foundations they have built are. I am honoured to be managed by directors like them.”
