Former world number one Naomi Osaka has expressed her frustration after she was eliminated from the ongoing Madrid Open.
Osaka, currently ranked 55th, was playing her first clay-court match of the season against Bronzetti. After dropping the opening set, Osaka rallied in the second but couldn’t overcome the determined Italian in a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 defeat.

In her reaction, Osaka, via her official X handle, stated that she is looking at the bright side after her first-round heartbreak.
“I wouldn’t wish what goes on in my brain on my worst enemy,” she said.
“Trust the process, but the process isn’t trusting me. WTF. Ok, I’m done with my crashout. I refuse to be sad. ✋ I rebuke it.”
