Asisat Oshoala scored for Bay FC but it was not enough as they lost 5-1 away to Gotham FC in the US National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) on Saturday night.
Oshoala netted her seventh goal in 22 appearances for Bay FC in the league this season.
The reigning CAF women’s Player of the Year has now found the back of the net in back-to-back games
Also, the 29-year-old Nigeria International has now scored four goals in her last five games.
Oshoala, who played for 90 minutes, scored in the 18th minute to make it 1-1 after Gotham took a 9th minute lead.
The defeat leaves Bay FC in eight place on 28 points after 23 games in the 14-team league table.
