Victor Osimhen is delighted to see Lille pick their first win in six games following Saturday’s hard earned 1-0 home victory against Dijon, reports Completesports.com.
Lille have endured a poor run of form with one draw and four defeats in five games in all competitions before yesterday’s game.
Osimhen was fouled inside the box in the 43rd minute and after a long consultation with VAR by the centre referee, penalty was awarded to the hosts which was neatly tucked into the net by the Nigeria international.
“I’m very happy, the win was very important for us, we failed to record a win in the last few games. It is important to play with more desire and make the fans happy,”Osimhen told reporters after the game.
The 20-year-old has now scored eight goals and bagged two assists in 14 league appearances for Les Dogues this season.
