Osimhen’s Agent Meets Napoli Amid Talks With Arsenal, Manchester United

Victor Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda met Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Cristiano Giuntoli earlier this week to discuss the Nigerian possible move to Manchester United or Arsenal, reports Completesports.com.

Osimhen, according to Corriere dello Sport newspaper, is keen to play in the Premier League.

Manchester United and Arsenal are said to be the striker’s favourite destinations.

Calenda, according to the report is in talks with both clubs and has informed De Laurentiis and Giuntoli about the Gunners’ and the Red Devils’ interests.

Osimhen’s desire to play Champions League football next season may play a huge role in his next destination.

Manchester United currently occupy sixth position on the Premier League, six points behind Arsenal who are in fourth position.

The 23-year-old has scored 12 goals in 23 league appearances for Napoli this season.

Osimhen joined Napoli two years ago from French Ligue 1 outfit Lille after just one season at the club.

He is now one of the most sought-after strikers in the world of football today.

Napoli have already identified several possible replacements for Osimhen: Gianluca Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori(Sassuolo), Luis Sinisterra, a versatile winger under contract with Feyenoord who can also play as a centre forward, and Giovanni Simeone (Verona).

How we wish Nigeria had qualified to the World cup where Osimhen talent would have been in full display to the World. If only Omo9ja and his cohorts did not hate Oga Rohr so bad that the NFF had to disallow Rohr to complete his terms according to his contract with them, Nigeria flag would have been among those being hosted in Qatar as we speak.
Either of the two teams seeking Osimhen services is okay.
