Atalanta’s Timothy Castagne is said to be keen on a move to England and Crystal Palace have been mentioned as one possible destination. The 23-year-old joined the Serie A outfit from Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2017 and has made 63 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.

He started 21 Italian top-flight games last season and helped La Dea to third spot in the table and a place in next season’s Champions League. The Belgium international has caught the eye at right-back and Glasgow giants Celtic tried to sign him in January only to baulk at the fee required.
It remains to be seen if he is still at the Bergamo club next term after his father, Pierre Castagne, suggested that many clubs have enquired about his availability this summer. Palace’s interest is not known but the player’s dad admitted that the Premier League is a possibility for his son when asked about the Eagles.
“Tim has a lot of offers. With his agent, we put it before Timothy and he will choose,” he told Het Belang van Limburg. “Crystal Palace? He has always loved English football. Atalanta will play in the Champions League next season, but in the Premier League you have a match every week as if it were in the Champions League. We’ll see.”Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
