Serbian Super Liga side Partizan Belgrade will demand €15m for their Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq.

The striker struggled mightily in Glasgow but has impressed during his time in Serbia with the likes of Manchester United weighing up a move for his services.

Sadiq hasn’t returned for pre-season training in Belgrade although his manager Sava Milosevic has moved to allay fears and insists his star turn has been rewarded with some extra time off.

The former Roma man has scored or assisted an incredible 34 goals in 39 games and reports in Nigeria suggested that he had left Serbia to hold talks with other clubs.

But Milosevic is adamant every one of his players is on lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He said: “No player was allowed to leave Serbia. I met him, his family, wife and little daughter are there, because I did not allow him to go to Italy, I let him go for three days longer.
