Plateau State Director Of Sports Promises To Support Teqball In The State

The Director, Plateau State Sports Council, Mr Simon Moven has expressed the readiness of the council to support the establishment and growth of teqball in the state

The Director made the promise when members of the Plateau State Teqball Association Executive Council paid him a familiarisation visit in his office Thursday.

Mr Moven who expressed delight at the introduction of the game of teqball in the state, stated that the council is ready to give its maximum support to the new sport

“This is a good one, we cannot remain static in global world of Innovations and technology,” Moven said.

He further stressed that the arrival of teqball not only in the state but in the country was timely.

“As a council, we are constantly thinking of adding new sports to the already existing ones. Therefore as soon as the Teqball Association is ready for a demonstration, the Sports Council will be handy,” he said

He thanked the Teqball team in the state for the laudable project and promised to work towards ensuring that the sport be included in the National Sports Festival.

Earlier in his opening speech, the Chairman, Plateau State Teqball Association, Mr Miri Timnan Nyantau told the Director that the association was in his office to officially introduce the game of teqball in the state.

On his part, the Vice Chairman of the association, Mr Sammy Adesoji stated that Plateau State was due for new sports hence the need to embrace Teqball in the state.

He thanked the Director for his audience and expressed hope that the two bodies will work collaboratively to promote the beautiful game of teqball in the state.
