Bournemouth continued their pre-season preparation with a 10-1 victory over nine-time Italian Serie A side, Genoa the Cherries reports.
Justin Kluivert netted a hat-trick, while there were goals for Alex Scott (2), Enes Ünal (2), Daniel Jebbison, David Brooks and Malcom Dacosta Gonzalez.
The win made it three on the bounce for Marco Rose’s side in friendlies, having overcome St. Pauli and Augsburg during the club’s pre-season camp in Austria.
The Cherries took the lead on 14 minutes. After Kluivert pounced on a loose pass inside the final third, his square ball found Evanilson in the box. While his effort was initially saved, Scott was there to slot home the rebound.
The Serie A side did however pull a goal back on 34 minutes. After springing the offside trap, striker Mikael Ellertsson applied a cool finish to level the scoring.
The Cherries were to go ahead once again on 50 minutes. After Adrien Truffert was brought down in the box, up stepped Kluivert to dispatch the resulting penalty into the top corner.

AFC Bournemouth then struck twice more before the 60-minute mark. Kluivert appeared to get the final touch on Truffert’s powerful left-foot strike. The Netherlands international then fired in from 12 yards again after Ben Gannon-Doak was fouled in the area.
With an array of changes after the first 60 minutes, the Cherries soon made it 5-1. Daniel Jebbison teed up Scott on the edge of the box, who whipped the ball into the bottom corner.
Marco Rose’s side converted their third penalty of the contest on 80 minutes. David Brooks on this occasion, slotting in from 12 yards after he was fouled inside the area.
Jebbison then got in on the act, emphatically firing into the top corner after Adam Smith’s driven ball across goal to make it 7-1. Dacosta Gonzalez was then alert in the box to slam home an eighth on 94 minutes.
Wales under-19 international Charlie Stevens burst forward from midfield and set-up Enes Ünal, who tapped home to make it 9-1. Türkiye striker Ünal then followed in to make it 10-1 after Dacosta Gonzalez’s effort was initially saved.
Next up for the Cherries is a trip to real La Liga outfit Real Betis on Saturday.
