Substitute Alexandre Lacazette scored the winning goal as Arsenal beat Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 in their Premier League clash on Tuesday night.
The striker collected Bukayo Saka’s cut-back with his first touch after replacing Gabriel Martinelli in the 66th minute at the Amex Stadium before composing himself and firing a clinical finish into the corner.
The goal secured a second consecutive victory for Arsenal following their 3-1 win over Chelsea on Boxing Day, giving them back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since their opening two games of the season.

Super Eagles utility defender Semi Ajayi is undoubtedly starring down the barrel of relegation back to the English Championship with his Wes Brom side.
Ten losses and five draws with a solitary win out of 16 league games thus far aren’t the hallmarks of viability in the English Premer League.
Semi Ajayi has played 90 minutes in all bar one of his team’s games. The euphoria of seeing him play in the Premier League after promotion last season is slowly giving way to despair of watching him drop right back to the Championship.
In efforts to avert what seems inevitable even at this stage of the season, Jay Jay Okocha’s former coach was brought in to replaced sacked Billic in efforts aimed at helping them dribble away from relegation waters.
But, on the account of the 5:0 mauling from the Jaws of fellow promoted side Leeds today, even Big Sam might have bitten off more than he can chew by accepting this sinking rescue mission
They’ve done relatively well against the big six teams, but struggle against fellow strugglers. There’s a rumor that Allardyce is looking to snatch Musa in the January window. They sure need some firepower on offense and tighten up at the back. They can still battle Burnley, Fulham and Brighton to beat the drop. I hope Westbrom and Fulham can survive the drop for the sake of the SuperEagles.
West Brom as a team have just not been good enough.
The game started badly for them with the back pass that ended up in the net, a bizarre gift for Leeds. From then on, everything went south. Ajayi did ok, but he is unfortunate to be in a team that appears not to be ready for the big time. A huge turnaround is needed if the Baggies are to avoid relegation.
Allardyce has been in this relegation battle situation many times in the past, and he is certainly capable of masterminding a rescue for the West Midland side. His success will largely depend on the signings he makes next month.
They need quality and experienced players if they are to survive the drop. The players they currently have cant help them. They are one or two exceptions but overrall the team needs a makeover.
