Premier League: Awoniyi Inspires Nottingham Forest To Shock Win Against Liverpool

Taiwo Awoniyi was the hero as Nottingham Forest moved off the bottom of the Premier League table courtesy of a 1-0 victory against Liverpool.

Awoniyi fired home the winning goal 10 minutes after the break to help Forest beat his former club.

The striker’s initial shot hit the post but he reacted fastest and tucked away the rebound.

It was Steve Cooper’s first win in the Premier League since August.

Liverpool are yet to record a win on the road in the English top-flight this season.

Awoniyi is now the first Nottingham Forest player to score in each of his first three Premier League starts at the City Ground.

The 25-year-old has also registered three goals in nine league appearances for Forest this season.

The Super Eagles striker was replaced by Joseph Worrall in the 64th minute.

He is still trash. I was a big Awoniyi fan when playing for union. Now he is a nobody, threw his whole career just to play for a bottom of the table team that could be relegated. While union are currently first place that has a chance to win or be in champions league football

I said it before and ill say it again
    Upwards movement
    1. Calvin Bassey joined an ajax team that is almost always in the champions league
    2. Sadiq joined a team where he will most likely be a starter and is in the europa league. Real Sociedad doesn’t have a scorer, especially since Oyarzabal hasnt been scoring lately.
    3. Sanusi, a starter in porto and champions league experience, signed a new deal with the team
    4. Lookman, found a permanent home. Was on loan for a couple of seasons. To a terrible fulham team who a coach who didn’t like scoring. Scott parker got fired from Bournmouth and now the team is doing better. To leicester where he mostly came off the bench. And now to Atalanta where he is a starter. I mean there’re always in uefa competitions, just not this season. The team is currently in the top 4 in serie a right now

Awoniyi, you are surely destined for greatness. Today’s goal was reward for all your hard work in the match. All the coaches who worked with you know how fantastic you are. If you work harder, even Erling Haaland will be jealous of you.
Heaven bless Awoniyi and all deserving Super Eagles players.
