Bayern Munich forward James Rodriguez says Borussia Dortmund know they can’t afford to “slip up” anymore. Table-toppers Dortmund looked on course for a comfortable victory on Saturday after goals from Jadon Sancho, Mario Gotze and Raphael Guerreiro had put them 3-0 up against Hoffenheim with under 20 minutes remaining.
However, two goals from Ishak Belfodil either side of Pavel Kaderabek’s header rescued a point for the visitors and handed defending champions Bayern the opportunity to close the gap to the leaders to five points.

The Bavarians duly delivered with a 3-1 home victory over Schalke and Colombia international Rodriguez, who is coming to the end of his two-year loan from Real Madrid, says BVB are now under big pressure. “They know if they slip up they’ve still got to come here, so they’re under pressure too,” he told the official Bundesliga website. “We always are [under pressure]. I think we’re going to maintain a high level and I think it’s Dortmund who are under pressure.”
