Radford Happy With Fash Decision

Hull FC coach Lee Radford feels Brad Fash will benefit from a stint with Toronto Wolfpack after being sent out on a one-month loan.

Fash has been unable to break into the Black and Whites first team this season, with a few outings for the reserves, while he has also played for League One outfit Doncaster as part of the club’s dual-registration agreement.

Ironically, he had just been named in the Hull squad to take on Wakefield Trinity this weekend but will now head to Toronto instead, who have also secured a recent loan deal for Jack Logan.

Danny Washbrook will come into the squad to replace Fash but Radford is adamant that it is the best move for the 23-year-old.

“It’s great to give Brad the opportunity to go out to Toronto and get a good number of games to help him get some important match fitness,” he said.

“Competition for places in the squad is very high now, so the loan spell will be a good opportunity for Brad to go out and prove himself.

“He’s going to a Toronto side with plenty of quality, so I’m sure he’ll come back to us in good shape after playing a couple of games.”
