Rangers manager Philippe Clement has singled out Leon Balogun for commendation following the side’s Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Heart on Sunday.
Balogun, who made his first start for the Gers since February played a key role in the 2-0 win at the Hampden Park.
His compatriot Cyriel Dessers scored the two goals for the Light Blues in the encounter.
The centre-back was a rock at the back for Rangers in the game.

Clement eulogised the defender for his exemplary display.
“I think he [Leon Balogun] was massive today, he played a really good game in the coaching and in the duels with his hunger and desire, so I know I have four really good centre-backs and this season they have all played,”the coach told Rangers TV.
“That is a thing for the next couple of weeks as a team performance and all going forward together in this chase for the title.”
Rangers will face rivals Celtic in the final of the Scottish Cup next month.

His experience at the Afcon would have come really handy in that final match. Not taking anything away from Calvin and the rest, though. Congrats to him
I absolutely agree with you. Really sad how quick we get rid of these good players. His absence cost us World Cup qualification as well
Good to hear he’s doing well.
The nff are the ones limiting his appearance due to his uprightness about treatments of the team and its coaches. If he remains active, he can still be useful to the team.
Afterall, he is younger and mentally stronger than some players in the team.
