Harry Redknapp has labelled Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur ‘an average team in the last six months’, and recommends ‘a magic’ that Gareth Bale can provide for a positive turnaround.
Gareth Bale played under Harry Redknapp at Tottenham from 2008 to 2012. He was Redknapp’s resourceful player as the coach guided the Lily Whites to a League Cup [Carabao Cup] first runner-up feat in 2008/2009 season.
Bale left Spurs to join Real Madrid for a massive €100million fee in 2013 after Redknapp’s departure the previous year.
The Wales international helped Real Madrid win two Laliga , four Champions League, three FIFA Club World Cup titles, as well as one Copa del Rey and UEFA Super Cup.
Bale has been strongly linked to a move to his former club, Spurs after Zinedine Zidane featured him in only 20 Real Madrid matches in all competitions last season. And Redknapp told BBC Radio Wales that that player will add a magic touch to Mourinho’s team.
“It would be a fantastic signing for the club and it would be great for Gareth to get back playing again. He’s such a talent, such a great player and it’s waste to see him not playing,” Redknapp told BBC Radio Wales.

“To get back to Tottenham could just turn their season around. They’ve been quite average in the last six months or so. End of last season and obviously got beaten on Sunday by Everton. They need that little bit of magic Gareth can bring.
“If he went there, Manchester United – wherever he went, he’d make a massive difference.”
Bale, 31, has a contract with Madrid until June 2022, and Redknapp senses that Tottenham, Manchester United, or any other interested club cannot meet the Spanish giants’ demand for an outright transfer now. He recommends a way out.
“The difficulty obviously is working out a deal because no one can pay his wages. There’s no way anyone in England can take him full-time” Redknapp said.
“The only way they’ll do a deal is if Real Madrid meet at least half his wages. I’d think that’s the stumbling block at the moment for Tottenham or anyone else interested in him.
“It’s not going to be a case of Gareth taking any wage cuts, it’s going to be a case of Real Madrid having to maybe take a third of his
wages off of Tottenham.
“Daniel Levy’s a very good negotiator. so I’m sure he’ll get the best deal for Tottenham.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
