Leeds Rhinos captain Kallum Watkins will make his first appearance since May in Sunday’s testimonial against Castleford.
The 27-year-old sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury against the Tigers at Magic Weekend and was forced to sit out the rest of the 2018 campaign for Rhinos
Merrin Looking Ahead To Rhinos Challenge
Watkins had already notched up seven tries in 14 games prior to the injury and his availability comes as a huge boost ahead of the new season.
The England centre, who was sorely missed last term, has been a keen figure in Headingley since making his debut in April 2008.
He has scored 130 tries in 240 games, having joined from Celtic Crusaders, and is likely to be joined by new signings Trent Merrin and Konrad Hurrell in the squad on Sunday.
