Leeds Rhinos have taken Papua New Guinea international Wellington Albert on a month’s trial. The former Widnes Vikings forward is looking for a new deal in Super League after his old club went into administration and he will have a month at Headingley to show what he can do.
Leeds are light in the forwards’ area so he may do enough to earn a short-term contract although his 12 appearances for Widnes last season did not leave much of a lasting impression. Director of rugby Kevin Sinfield said: “We are happy to give Wellington an opportunity to train with us.
He has found himself without a club through no fault of his own and we are without a number of first-choice forwards at present. “There is no formal commitment from either party at this stage. Wellington would be free to join another club at any point.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com
