Rodgers Could Tinker for Chelsea clash

Brendan Rodgers could tinker with his line-up for the final match of the Premier League season against Chelsea on Sunday. The Foxes boss stuck with the same side that beat Arsenal 3-0 when he named his starting XI for Monday night’s narrow defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Jamie Vardy should again start in attack as he looks to add to an impressive record which has seen him score 11 goals in his last 12 Premier League appearances. Daniel Amartey and Matty James are still sidelined for the Foxes with Rodgers confirming that there are no other problems in the camp.

“The players, their availability has been great,” he said. “They are all fit and ready. Amartey has been out for a period of time, but other than that, everyone is ready.” Title winners Danny Simpson and Shinji Okazaki could feature for one last time before they leave the club this summer, although Rodgers would not guarantee either man an appearance at his pre-match press conference on Friday.

“I’m not really sentimental, I am in certain moments,” he added. “Both those players’ contributions are well documented. “I’m sure whatever happens on Sunday, they will get support and be celebrated. If one or two play, they will always be appreciated. We’ll see what the weekend brings.”
