Rohr: Ebere Eze Under Pressure To Answer Nigeria Now

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ebere Eze is still undecided over his international future despite overtures from Nigeria head coach, Gernot Rohr, reports Completesports.com.

Eze who is born to Nigerian parents , trained with the Super Eagles in October , 2017 but later featured for the England’s U-20 side.

Eze was called up to the England U-21 squad in September this year by manager Aidy Boothroyd for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Turkey and Kosovo. He was an unused substitute on both occasions.

He is however still eligible to play for Nigeria as he is yet to feature for England’s senior side.

The 21-year-old has been in fantastic form for QPR in the Sky Bet Championship this season and has scored six goals in 14 league appearances for the Londoners.

The talented midfielder is seen as the long -sought successor to former Super Eagles captain, Austine Jay Jay Okocha.

“We have approached him, but not directly. Tunde Adelakun , my assistant, spoke to his mum. What we understand is that there is a lot of pressure on him and Ebere Eze doesn’t want to give an
answer now,” Rohr told veteran journalist, Osasu Obayiwana in an interview.

“Obviously, we would love to have him in the @NGSuperEagles, of course! We continue to work on getting him. It may take some time.”

Well this one now is more in awareness. Hope he doesn’t say that they never approached him like Tomori.
Also it’s his choice so he should think it through
    I wish him well…

    • You guys are talking as if na una pay his football school fees. I will advice rohr to go and officially invite him and also talk to him we cant aford to lose this germ. That aproach for me is not enough. The super eagles need him more than england so no shakara at all aproaching the mum is not enough use iwobi and aribo to talk to him he we come for sure! This guys where born uptown and their parents might not be passionate nigerians so we should take it more politely when we are bringing them home

  • Let Tomori apologise to Nigeria and accept him because His body language is now for Nigeria super Eagle, Ebere Eze Nigeria is where you are going to shine do not ever make mistake of going to where you are going to dry Best of good luck

  • It is ok to do indirect approach to these young guys, but for goodness sake lets maximize our options.
Deligate Alex 8 obi and Ola Aina to take him out on a lunch and talk about SE.
While they are gisting put a call through to Kanu Nwanmwo and Okocha to say hi to the young man, he will feel good talking to our heroes.
Next time connect a call through to Rohr, and the guy will fall.
These kids born in diaspora , you got to treat them like we treat them here, like they are special, and really kids are special in Europe and America.

We should Leave this Kid alone the kid waited for two years wanted  to play for Nigeria, he was overlooked for world preliminary squad, I remembered, some of us were shocked Rohr overlooked the boy.Hopefully he would change his mind and play for Naija one day. With chidera Ejike, Matthew and Eze, our attacking midfield problems will probably disappear, because we know Iwobi is not reliable.

Stop blaming those players but coach Rohr. As it is now, people don’t understand why they keep ignoring Nigeria.

Okay, here is a simple explanation. Okoye is a very good goalkeeper but Mr. Rohr invited him and he never trusted the young Okoye.

If wasn’t because Uzoho was injured in that match against Br6, Okoye wouldn’t have man the post and you are expecting new players to play for Nigeria? Are you guys kidding me ba?

    Think about it now.

Instead of Okoye to be on the goal post in up coming matches, the coach opted for Akpeyi who has bad performances with the national teams ways from the beginning to the present but our world class and his fans are satisfied with the poor Akpeyi.

Now, tell me if it’s worth it to play for Nigeria under coach Rohr, coach Aloy Agu and Amaju?

As long as coach Rohr stays, the man will continue having fantastic team without results and trophies. Hmmm… I’m sorry for NFF.

If possible, the French man will bring back Ighalo and he will benched Osimeh.

If it is possible, coach Rohr will bring back Mikel and benched Aribo.

No wonder, coach Aloy Agu continues with his unimpressive coaching records with the Super Eagles by sticking with the world class goalkeeper, Akpeyi.

For Nigeria to have a sound team, we have to let, Amaju, coach Rohr, Aloy Agu, Diko and Sheyi go first.

Or paring a young Nigerian coach with coach Rohr may be a good idea but that is not going to work because these cabals won’t let it work. We don’t want Imama or Salisu Yusuf there anymore.

If possible, jo Bonfrere is a good option. Anyways, what do I know.

My advice to anybody that believes it is do or die affairs if you don’t play for Nigeria to have a rethink. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

Even if Mr. President put a call through to him, if he does not want to play for Nigeria he won’t. Many children born abroad understand that they have much to gain playing for european countries than country where their parents come from. Just a single cap for England could earn a better contract than someone with hundred caps for playing for other countries elsewhere

  • we should stop disrespecting JJ always comparing him to some kids in lower division or some where. if he is not ready let him go joor.
