Rohr Moves To Woo Eze To Super Eagles

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has admitted that he’s interested to have Crystal Palace midfielder, Ebere Eze in the senior national team set-up.

Rohr, who has been an admirer of the skillful player, made this known during an interview with a Lagos-based online TV.

Recall that the youngster once trained with the Super Eagles before a canceled friendly against Burkina Faso in March 2017 but the player has since developed into one of the hottest football properties in England.

However, Rohr said that he’s in contact with Eze and will be hoping he represents the Super Eagles.

“This is a wonderful player, Ebere Eze is one of the best offensive midfielders I’ve ever seen in England and I would like to have him with us, but you know that he can also play for England and already played for one team in England”,

“I sent him a message and in this message, I showed the interest Nigeria has to get him in this team so he replied and he said he has to think about it.”

Bros please don’t loose focus on the players you already have.World cup qualification is around the corner.Eze to me should not be the main discussion.

    • Exe should be a worthwhile plus to our team. Please go for him and focus on world cup qualifying campaign

If there is a good player out there that can help make the team stronger, there is nothing wrong in attempting to secure that player’s services.
Eze would definitely be a great addition to the squad.
If he decides to play for us, the benefits will be mutual.
If he opts for England, then all the best to him. He is English by birth and breeding.
It would be wrong to hate him for this, or any other reason.
As for us, we will not be biting our fingernails, waiting for Eze. With or without Eze, WE MOVE.

Another bitter truth is we can’t loose this guy after loosing Saka, Eze is too good to loose i pray he comes backs to his senses. Eze will make eagles a dynamite at the final 3rd, Eze will entertain the fans of Lagos like former Jay Jay use to.

We need Eze especially now that iwobi refused to develop and mature his game.i do not hate anybody but let face fact. If iwobi was that good, do you think arsenal will cash on him.i don’t think arsenal will for any reason cash on saka now. Even in Everton iwobi can’t boast of starting games. My fellow SE fans we love our players but iwobi has refused to grow. I’m sure, Eze, Olise, Ejare will do better than Iwobi in SE midfield. You can share your thoughts about this view thought.

  • If Eze is only an average player it would have been better. But this young man is a “Small game player that can’t hold his own against any big team…

U hardly recorgnise EZE when playing against CHELSEA, MAN U, MAN CITY, SPURS, ARSENAL, LIVERPOOL.

    Away with Eze joor…

A jersey that our greats (OKOCHA, KANU) were happy and excited to wear is what a little boy that english and nigerian media keep hyping to the heavens disdained and prefer England U21.

Ademola Lookman is the man with big heart…

He’s fearless, dribbles comfortable, has pace, a big game player for that matter…

These are people we should be craving for not Eze.

He denied his origin, prefers England U21 bench to SE.

Oga don see sey no way for england, e don run kom him fall back option.

If u like come and will world cup for SE i will never take u serious.

    :::lubbish:::

We can not wait for Eze. He is an average player. Lookman is the real thing for the Super Eagle. Eze said Nigeria should wait while he makes up his mind. Will he say that
to England should Southgate invite him? He is not serious nor sincere when dealing with Nigeria’s invitations. He is rude. He thinks that he is not one of us. l think he is an average player not worthy of our invitation. Forget about Eze.

The guy is right it’s normal for every human being to think before taking a decision, even u ursef u dont just jump into certain things without thinking

  • I’m curious about something. Oga Rohr said he won’t invite or entertain more new players in his team for now, so why the talk about Eze? Do you know that if Simy was to be an italian-NIGERIAN, he would have been lobbying him to come and play for us. Make no mistake about this, I am an unrepentant Rohr supporter but I just feel his treatment of foreign grown players has different vibes as against homegrown. My opinion though. Thanks

    • Is it the Simy we have already seen in SE or is there another Simy you are talking about.
Are you aware that Simy played some of our World Cup matches in 2018?
He flopped in all the outings he made for SE

Mr man how many minutes has Simmy plaid for the super eagle before you start tagging him a flop. Pls check the young man’s stats since two seasons ago before posting ur hatred based on sentiments.Rohr is partial with his treatment of foreign bread players over home born. Imagine Iwuala coming from the same league he said he didn’t see a single talent in. Eze’s Case should be closed unless he writes to the NFF stating his readiness to play. Enough of the insult from not good enough players. Lookman us far ahead of the Eze guy and pls never compare with to Iwobi yet because he has not played a full season in the premier league and is just one game wonder

I wonder at the decision of the coach for thinking that Eze would be ideal for the national team when he chose to play for the u-21 of England rather than making a senior level entrance to the Super Eagles.
Speaking of offensive players , what about Kelechi Nnwankali. He’s still showing his skills. I saw his game during the week and he scored a beautiful free kick . He may be in the 2nd division of the Spanish LaLiga nevertheless, he should be looked into .
I also welcome the likes of Obie Echaria, Michael Olise,Ademola Lookmam instead of Where Eze .

But if he’s eyeing Eze , then he better eye Fikayo Tomori who still have a chance to join the super Eagles team.

We wait and see what happens

I SMELL A FOUL PLAY SOMEWHERE I THINK EZE IS BEGINNING TO COME TO HIS SENSES THAT OPTING TO PLAY FOR ENGLAND IS NOT THE BEST FOR HIS CAREER BECAUSE HE WILL NOT LAST THE DISTANCE WITH HIS ADOPTED COUNTRY. HE HAS TAMMY ABRAHAM ,AND THE OTHER CHELSEA PLAYER THAT SHUNNED NIGERIA AS CASE STUDY EVEN AS GOOD AS SAKA IS , ENGLAND WILL STILL DUMP HIM. WELL IF HE SAYS HE WANTS TO PLAY FOR NIGERIA HE IS WELCOME . I LOOK FORWARD TO ODUDUWA NATIONAL TEAM AND BIAFRA NATIONAL TEAM IF THINGS FALL APART AND IF NOT I STAND BY NIGERIA NATIONAL TEAM.

Eze is bent on following the footsteps of T & T. We can’t prostrate to him for his signature. He’ll know which shoe pinches the toes . . , but will be stuck with it. Poor English boy!
